RE: Starting lineup for 11/25 vs. St Mary's ?
Cisse (Dandridge)
Jefferies (Thomas, "Williams")
Nolley (Rand, Hardaway)
Quinones (Baugh, Hardaway)
Ellis (Lomax, Baugh)
Even without Stokes and possibly Williams, we have a solid 2 deep every where. Having Baugh, Lomax, Dandridge and Thomas coming off the bench is a luxury mots teams dream about. They would all 4 start on lesser teams.

I like this lineup. It’s a good FT shooting lineup too, I believe. And lots of rebounding. Can’t wait to see if Nolley is all that.

Perhaps I'm wrong here, but with the year of experience that most have under their belt now, this appears to be a stronger first-of-year lineup than last year--even having had Wiseman in the presumed lineup last year.
What think ye?

Wasnt Nolley freshman of the year in the ACC. Ahead of Vernon Carey, Cole Anthony, Patrick Williams, etc.

He made the All-Freshman team but Carey won the freshman of the year award.

If Deandre becomes eligible, I expect him to have a bigger impact on this team than Landers. He does things that we don't really have people in that position to do. Landers' skills overlap with DJ and Lester.

I agree. I think Nolley, Williams and Cisse are pretty great additions. With the rest of the team having real college experience, and remember, Jefferies only played 19 games and averaged 16 and 6

Better in the backcourt...
But last year the frontcourt was better.

Unless Lomax has become a knock down 3 point shooter I see no way he starts over Boogie.

If Lomax is starting by end of this tourney its a really, really bad sign for this team's ceiling.

I like Lomax and I think this team can be very very successful with Lomax at the point if Lomax is a good 3 point shooter.

Maybe so but he has never in his career been a good 3 pt shooter, is an average free throw shooter, and shoots basically a set shot off the catch at only 6 ft. Odds are against a major year over year jump.

I agree it is highly unlikely that he becomes a good 3 point shooter...
But Joe Jackson had 1 year where he was a good 3 points shooter...His 3rd year...
Poor shooter 1st,2nd and 4th years (go figure). So there is a chance.
And Lomax's 3 point % last year were based on 90% unguarded 3 pointers. He was open for a reason.

So there's that.
Lomax’s 3-pt shooting improved significantly last year, but no one really acknowledged it.

There was a reason people didn't guard Lomax at the 3 point line and he still only attempted 22 3's the entire year.

That %tage is on 0.7 attempts per game (yes, less than 1 per game) and his attempts were pretty much unguarded since no one respects his shot. Percentages are noise with samples like that. Teams wouldnt even close out on him and he STILL hesitated
