Millano is apparently now denying reports she called the police and is saying it was her neighbor that initally called 911. She's blaming "right wing media and trolls" for everthing.

Turns out it was a neighborhood teen with an air gun shooting at squirrels that caused all the commotion.

The problem is that a call for one thing often changes to a completely different interaction. Say a person hears “somebody rustling around outside their window” and calls 911. Do you send a cop or some type of other intervention? It could be someone breaking in, so better send the cops. They get there and it’s a raccoon in the trash can. Next night same person calls, same issue, so you send a different group to check it out, except this time it’s an armed burglar. Your social worker and resident are both killed.

I guess that’s just an “oops!” Moment that is part of the new normal.

2. When pressed, the Defund advocates to have good points regarding no knock raids and militarization. But the conversation is lost because the proponents chose catchy over nuanced.

These folks calling to abolish the police need to step back a think about the big picture. No police doesn't mean they get to run amok committing crime. No police means that every crime they commit, no matter how big or small, now has a potential immediate death sentence. No arrest, no judge, no jury, just the executioner, backed by the 2nd amendment. These fools need to realize that the police are the ONLY thing keeping millions of gun owners from defending themselves and taking law & order into their own hands --- with no repercussions.

This Critics of the 2nd Amendment always argue gun rights will lead to "Wild West Shootouts". They have this backwards. What lead to "Wild West Shootouts" in the 19th century was poorly funded law enforcement in those states and territories. There was like a hand full of law enforcement in a territory that is today two states. People didn't have time to wait a week or two for the Marshall to get to town, so there were shootouts, lynching's (blacks were not the only ones lynched in the 19th century) and other forms of executions.
