He screwed up big time by shutting down schools in the spring. He had no step B there either. He basically wrote the argument for the teachers' unions to keep schools closed in the fall.

His admin oversees nursing homes. For over three months, no one was investigating problems in the nursing homes. Again, the head of the Department of Public Health still has her job.

JB was so worried about shutting things down that he had Illinois contractors going to Wisconsin to work on his horse farm. His horse farm.

He's a buffoon. Rauner got beat up over the issues with the vet homes. The COVID/nursing home stuff is many times worse.

Capitalism at all costs...economy over health...you are absolutely wrong.

Red herring. And, you didn't rebut any of the above. JB has no plan and no idea what to do beyond shut it down.

The curve is bent, essentially broken. Why is he still restricting business?

The economy is how people pay their mortgage and buy food, ie survive.

Let me say that your city/village health department and the feeble state health department had more impact on this situation than the feds. Those are the boots on the ground organizations. For example, if the state didn't have enough backup PPE, that is on JB. Nobody else.

I have no interest in defending anything about Trump. You guys are too blinded by your cheeto hate to honestly evaluate the situation.

I'm sure some mistakes were made by people who actually tried to deal with the problem. At least they were working on it instead of pretending there was no problem. And they would have been helped if we had tests, which Trump did almost nothing to help with - so states were bidding against each other to get PPE. Talk about a waste of money.
