I'd play BYU at Nippert for sure.

Army has open date on the Nebraska date. I’d be willing to toss them a bone and bring them in. They have a lot open dates to fill.

Do a H/A with them. Would love to see UC play at West Point.

RE: AAC Football Scheduling
If the Nebraska game open date gets filled, no more MAC teams please. Two this season is more than enough. If UC is truly top 25 good this season, as many fans and some in national media believe, let's get a more interesting opponent with a national profile.

BYU here or at a neutral site if fans can't attend anyway? Ditto Army. Either of those as victories would be more credible at season's end than a third MAC team.

Army with a H/A deal would be great.

I agree. I've never made the trip to West Point but from those UC fans who did I heard it was an outstanding game day experience and a very worthwhile trip. Count me in!

BYU announced it will play Navy to open the season on Labor Day, Monday, Sept. 7, at Annapolis. Seems like they would be open to add us if both parties are interested.

Let's hope Cunningham is working the back channels to secure a quality opponent for that open date.

We can argue on Banter about whether a G5 will ever make the CFP but this season's scheduling pretty much takes that off the board since "quality" wins against the P5 are off the table already for G5 teams.

The MAC is planning on a 9 conference game plus 1 non-conference. Notre Dame has scheduled Western Michigan, so it looks like we lose that home date. Are we now down to 2 non-conference games?

With the craziness of this season's scheduling, it'd be nice to set up a couple of home and home agreements with teams struggling to find scheduling and to bolster our future schedules - particularly 2024 (Pitt, @Miami, @WMU), 2025 (Miami, Nebraska???, @WKU), and 2027 (@Miami, @Boston College). If BYU wants to do a series using this year and one of those years, I'd be all for it.. same for any ACC team who wants to add a game.. ahem Louisville.

Louisville filled their OOC game with Western Kentucky...

The MAC has not made an announcement yet. We know from the ACC schedule release that Miami is playing at Pitt. If the MAC does go to only one conference game then we are down to one OOC game- Austin Peay. However than game is in jeopardy as there has been speculation the FCS is going to cancel their season.

Would Miami make more from a home game with UC fans there, or the road game @ Pitt? Interesting decisions must be made in the coming days. But if those dominoes fall, UC could be AAC games only.

If Miami chooses to dump UC, we should never play them again. Why are these contracts not honored and it appears no liquidated damages.

Pitt would be a buy game for Miami, and I found an article which indicated they will be making $1.1M for that game. I doubt Miami makes that kind of revenue in Oxford, even if UC brings a good crowd.

Of course, this could all be academic if the MAC decides to play more than just one OOC game.

BYU vs Cincinnati Week 0 in Vegas? Because there won't be fans attending, playing in a brand new temperature controlled stadium might be a good option.
