I've read the Bible and it says that in the last days when Jesus returns he'll be fighting Satans forces in the sky and heavens. Maybe it's the battle like Battlestar Gallactica with the good guys fighting the bad guys.
Well those are fun things to discuss and ponder. I have many times myself and still do.
The reason that doesn't fit with the Bible is it contradicts a lot of scripture. All of creation (the entire universe) fell with Adams sin. The entire universe is created, destroyed and recreated based on specific events on Earth. God is very specific and detailed about the fact that the earth and man is the center of the universe from His perspective. Also there are a lot of passages that talk about the stars and the universe in context of mankind and Gods ultimate plan and work, and the text really leaves no room for it. Even the stars, constellations and galaxies are laid out in such a manner to speak to the people of the earth beyond the limits of a language barrier.
The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament shows His handiwork. Day unto day utters speech, and night unto night reveals knowledge. There is no speech nor language where their voice is not heard. Ps 19:1-3
The vastness of the universe compared to the earth is really meant to display to man His glory, power and authority to man. Also to show how centered all of creation is around man and the earth for the Fathers purpose.
The war in heaven is actually an event that specifically takes place in the 3rd heaven where God dwells, not space. We also know the war is specifically between the angels and no flesh is involved.
I think it fits better Bibilcally that He may be populating other worlds in the New heavens and New earth, AFTER death and sin have passed away forever. It makes more sense also because all the saints will be eternal righteous Gods like our Father, as His children He would want us directly involved and spearheading His work and teaching all of creation ye to come about Him.
Never the less these are always fascinating things to ponder and discuss.
