Best JUCO guard in the country.
Is there any info on him? Can't find him listed on any JUCO rankings?

Nevermind was looking at 2020. He's 2021. WSU was mentioned in the last 6 but Taylor hadn't mentioned him as a Target. Good get!

Pesik has been saying he is top 6 by jucorecruiting. I can’t figure out where that ranking is. Maybe he can point you to it.

A Sampson win. A Jank loss. SMU wanted him.

Houston’s deep collection of guards continues to be the best in the AAC.

The loss of Sasser should haunt Jank forever. It wasn’t so much a “loss”....more an actual diss.... and lack of interest in an SMU legacy.

Fire Jank.

We’ve been pretty successful with JUCO guards in the past few years. Hope this guy continues that trend.

I thought THOUGHT that I had read on here that Alexis Yetna had left USF. But that Rothstein video said he is back. That is huge if true.

It's hard to predict what's what right now. You've got Houston and a bunch of teams right behind them. But I'm not even sure about that.

If Memphis gets wavers for both Nolley and Williams, look out. If we get one of those guys I think we can contend for the title, but probably go somewhere between 2-4 imo. If we get neither, which is my prediction because the NCAA hates us, we'll end up in the 4-5 range I think.

If you guys get a waiver for Nolley, I think it is possible Memphis and UH are both in the top 10 by the end of the year.

I was pleasantly surprised with Penny's ability to get his team to play hard on defense last year. So I don't think that will be a problem.

Good point. Coaching up the #1 defense in the country should be noted to that Tulsa fan who said he can't coach to save his life. He does need to get them to cut down on turnovers.
Yea defense won't be a problem. It's getting everything to mesh on offense that will be the problem

100% agree. Even with Precious, we struggled to score last season, for minutes at a stretch.

Hopefully, Cisse's presence in the middle, even though he's not a great offensive threat, will leave our guards better opportunities to shoot and actually make baskets.

Plus, the biggest improvement in most good players occurs between the freshman and soph seasons, so hopefully, that holds true for us.

Damn damn damn!! I REALLY wanted Thomas. Sampson got a good one. I should not have expected a blind squirrel (Jank) to find two nuts in one week. Sampson is going to win that battle most times.

Penny interviewed Antonio Anderson. He played for Calipari 2005-2009 and is currently the HC at Lynn English High School in Lynn, Mass.

so far that's the only interview that's been reported.

it's a nice looking HS

Since this is the transfer portal thread, have any of the committed transfers had their cases reviewed by the NCAA? What's the expected or normal timeframe for a review to be completed & announced?

Prince Oduro for USF already got his waiver approved but for Quentin Grimes last year, we didn't hear anything until late October. It's really a case by case thing.

Dawkins didn’t announce that Brandon Mahan’s waiver was approved until the day of our first game last season.

whosehouse already noted oduru...but their no timeline---"the more obvious the case the quicker" is the general rule..

the most obvious cases tend to be "pushed out" waivers, where your old school is willing to put in writing that they pushed you out and publicly back you getting a waiver..almost all approved cases to date have been this..

the other quick waiver is racism, sexism, abuse, scandal related with evidence (or backed by witnesses)..every waiver to date has been 1 of those 2..

the rest could be anywhere from now to 2-3 games into the season for initial responses..if it's not announced by then, its likely been rejected and your school is applying for a appeal..with the appeal process it could last 9-10 games into the season....note this year is supposed to break the record for the most waiver applications ever..so it could be longer this year
