Black Lives Matter. It is a fact. IF you are a Christian, then you know God created ALL of humankind equal, and offers salvation to ALL humans, equally.

Now, if you will take the time to visit the BLM website you will see that organization supports many wonderful ideas, and some that are not so wonderful. Of the not so wonderful is the avowed intention of destroying the family structure. This is clearly not good in any way. It would destroy our entire culture.

So, I can agree that the Police Brutality must be bridled, and that racism in all forms must not be tolerated. But I cannot support the actual BLM organization.

There is a difference in the BLM organization and the BLM movement. Jason and John detailed it so beautifully on their show yesterday when they asked if you think that a child that is holding a BLM sign is part of some organization, No, but people both young and old, black and white are out protesting because they now get it, but hold on to your viewpoints and opinions, you and those that are like minded use any excuse that you can to discredit a movement, with Kaepernick it was not what his protest was about, you made it about what you wanted to. and this is no different so do as you please, Tiger Nation will thrive and survive. You remind me of a guy named Lou that called in to a Tiger post game show upset about something and saying that he was done, the program still survived him, and winning takes care of everything.

It would be never ending . Never ending threads that argue points like systemic racism are for the political religious forum.

You could start a thread there and ask for specific examples.

Examples span the spectrum but include - mandatory minimum sentences for drugs disproportionately used by minorities (e.g. crack vs cocaine), massive underrepresentation of minority owned companies in most winning government contracting, gerrymandering to concentrate minority votes into single districts and limit minority representation in government, higher rates of suspension/expulsions in schools with large minority populations, use of "networks" for leadership positions in private industry where the vast majority of current leaders and their networks are white males, building of infrastructure projects with large negative environmental impacts disproportionately near minority communities and on and on...

I'm not a moderator, but I did create this thread, and I would appreciate it if you guys would confine your comments to BLM, and how it will affect tickets sales/attendance, and the inappropriate nature of putting a political sticker on a football uniform. Whether or not systematic racism and social justice are "woke" buzzwords with nebulous value is an issue for the Poly-Reg board.

No education needed...I know what those 3 words mean to me.

The organization was formed long after the slogan was coined...So you are saying no one should say it anymore because someone created an "organization".

That is where everyone is trying to twist everything to say everyone who says those 3 words are part of or support an organization...Those 3 words have a meaning on their own.

I would think it inappropriate if someone scored a touchdown, and then pulled out an I Like Ike hat.

But that’s just me.
