It's a neverending cycle. People are stuck at home and most are watching the news which constantly reinforces the fear. Even those otherwise level headed people can succumb to the fear. It's interesting to think about from a psychological viewpoint.

that is NOT what happened. Memphis, Nashville, and Knoxville have their own city run health departments and therefore were allowed to follow their guidance. It was the difference between 4/30 and 5/5...5 days to watch the smaller cities to make sure an immediate surge didn't happen. That seems wise and based on medical science...not politics.
