Precious is being projected as a lottery pick by some. He's not coming back.

When I first read that tweet I thought he might be coming back....then quickly realized there’s no way. Just no way. Is there?

He is a lottery pick in a weak draft. If he waits a year he could be borderline 1st round pick.
He should absolutely turn pro. His stock will never be higher.

If he waits a year he could be hurt. But I watched him play, after next season, barring injury, he would be a higher pick than he will be this year. But a top 10 pick has got to go.

Heck no, the 2021 draft is big guard and wing loaded. Some of the top guys like Okowundu and Halliburton might not even be lottery in next years depth.
Also, what matters most is what type of things he improves at. If he just goes out next year and is more productive doing the same stuff (tip ins, rebounding, dunking) and shows marginal improvement in his handles/shot (more of his real NBA future role) AND the fact that he is a little older... it will lead to more doubts about his NBA fit.
He needs to cash in now and not think twice.

He will. He’s gone. Can’t afford to come back. He’s 21 already and a definite top 15 pick. Probably top 10.

RE: Precious Achuiwa Tweet...
He's actually just 20, so he's not that far ahead of typical aged freshman (18 or 19). You folks talk about his age as if he was a 23 or 24 yr old freshman lol Athletes have shown they have long careers with modern training and nutrition. Not a big deal. But I do agree that his draft stock might not be higher than now but who knows what will happen when with this pandemic.

He will be 21 in September. NBA draft is about potential so the younger the better. Ja Morant -20, Zion - 19, Luka - 21.

Agreed...Way too much risk if you have guarantees that you are going in the first round to come back. Especially a tweener like Precious.
But I love the fact he is still engaging with Memphis fans. Just because a plyaer is one and done doesn't mean the player is a mercenary...Kevin Durant is a good example. Hopefully he stays engaged in Memphis after he goes pro.

KD is a pretty big UT supporter - used to return to campus fairly regularly in his younger days and has given millions. Not a good example.
