Maybe not but I do think they’re planning on bringing in a 3rd person that can handle the ball.

RE: Recruit Updates
UNCW has reached out to D2 Belmont Abbey Grad Transfer Romeao Ferguson. He's a 6'5" Guard and according to his twitter has offers from Mount St. Marys and Lipscomb since putting his name in the portal.

RE: Recruit Updates
St. John’s transfer Ian Steere has committed to UNC Wilmington. He was a top 150 recruit of the class of 2018.

He has baggage. Transferred from N.C. State after playing one game. St. John's suspended him indefinitely for not meeting the standards of a member of the program.

I was just reading up on him. If Siddle thinks he can straighten him out, I'm all for it. As we learned this past season you can't teach size... and Steere looks to have plenty of that.

Immediately available, or has to sit one year?

He's not a Grad Transfer, so he'd have to sit a year. Maybe we can get lucky with a waiver again since he's transferring close to home.

RE: Recruit Updates
Are we really that bad to take a guy who averaged less than 5 minutes per game for 17-15 St. John's? I would like to think we are not but I also know big men are hard to come by for most mid-majors.

Siddle must know this kid really well and believes in him. We're just going to have to trust Coach's vision on this one.

He was a 4* out of HS and has a history with Siddle. I agree that there are concerns, but maybe a year of maturity and being back home unleash his potential.

These last two scholarships are important. Still hoping we find size with immediate availability.

Dude is a beast. He will tear up the CAA. Bigger than Cacok and more outside skills. Wow. Have we ever had a 4 star here?

Would we add one if the walk on was rescinded?

Curious why he left State after one game. You seem to have a beat on State basketball. This St John’s article mentions “work habits.”

Mullins was fired from St John’s and Anderson didn’t recruit him, so I can sorta understand. I assume Siddle recruited him to State, but what went wrong when he got to Raleigh?

Regardless as you mentioned I will trust Siddle on this. He could be a game changer being a former top recruit.

No, that one last scholarship would be for Jenkins scholarship.

Swinson never suited up. Want to see what a 4 star looks like on the court.

Apparently he left after playing only a few minutes of the first game. Maybe saw he would be caught behind some transfer and upper class big men?

LOL it’s Swinton. I’m sure spell check got the best of both of you.
