No we don’t. The ncaa will tell them exactly what to do. Our basketball program is about to get crushed and it’ll take a long time to dig out of it if we ever do. All over some quitter who played 3’games for us.

If Penny gets a show-cause and MM steps in as coach with no post season ban, I think we get both of them. Green or Brown aren't committing here because of Penny; it's solely due to MM.

Why would Penny get a show cause? For something he did before he became a coach? And he specifically stared at the the time the University told him to play Wiseman if you’re going on that angle

For what exactly that I stated? Jalen Green and Greg Brown aren't coming here if MM is gone.

For playing an ineligible player and basically flipping double birds to the NCAA? Not to mention, the next day or two, Wiseman and Harris (iirc) were on IG with targets on the back of their shirts.

Most of what you just said has nothing to do with the bylaws but perceived feelings hurt and the part that is a possible violation I stated that Penny said the University told him to play Wiseman

You have no idea what you are talking about. Nobody does as this avenue has never been taken.

We know the NCAA will show us zero mercy so there is basically nothing for us to lose by going this route. There are only two outcomes; 1. Same maximum punishment ruling the NCAA would give 2. Something better, a more reasonable and unbiased ruling.

I don't.

As to the OP, good point. I think we also need an MTO representative here who would get a ban comparable to the punishment the NCAA doles out.

I nominate btiger.

RE: So Who Takes The Fall?
There is no bigger hypocritical organization in the world than the NCAA. The cheating scandal at North Carolina, Bill Self buying players and likely being the number 1 seed, and Will Wade buying players and being the NCAA president's son in law. These 3 things are much bigger than Penny and are going on a couple of years in some cases and nothing has been done. Penny and Memphis could potentially have the Shi* Hammer fall upon their heads literally a couple of months later. Any case involving teams that make them money seem to be untouchable. Two faced hypocrites.

Agreed, you have each other's backs from the board on down.

If a show cause is metted out, deal with it then.
