The new kickoff looks weird at first but looks to work well while reducing potential for injuries.

And (Spoiler) Nelson is a stud in XFL too. Go Pirates!

If these PJ Walker highlights don't make you tingle with happiness then you aren't alive inside.

American Conference Champion QB Phillip Walker? Yeah he’s pretty damn good. Great to see him playing and playing well.

The irony that he is playing in TDECU stadium, the same stadium he lost the first championship in, for the city of Houston on top of it, is amazing.

Here's a complete list of all college players on each XFL team from each school. Looks like Temple and USF have the most AAC representation, with a sprinkle of other AAC players around the league.

He had to wait a few years to get another chance to win in Houston!

RE: OT: XFL
I watched a bit of two of the games. I liked the pace of the games, some of the camera angles, the kickoff, the no extra points and the sideline mics.

While it isn't a finished product, I think it will get better. I did see 2-3 high level "highlight" plays. There is space for spring football done right. I think by the end of this year/next year they will be starting to hit their stride. Luckily, Vince has like 325million to invest to make sure it sticks around for a few years to gain traction. I think the AAF could have made it with better financial backing.

Also, if you like this kind of stuff and are looking for a good read check out

I received season tickets for Xmas, and like Westhoff123 I enjoyed every minute of the opener. 04-rock

I just bought tickets to next game on Sunday. Word is that every home team is seeing a huge increase in ticket sales from the previous week. They are even saying the St. Louis team is going to have 30,000 for the home opener.

Didn't have a chance to catch any of the action live, but checked out a replay of the Defenders game on YouTube last night. Was really entertaining, I'll definitely watch more.

The AAF was rushed, as the founders were trying to beat the XFL to the punch and had more limited resources. It was doomed to fail from the start. The XFL has a legit shot at sticking around, and I hope it does

Yea, the commentators mentioned at the start of the DC game St Louis was happy just to have a football team again. Doesn't shock me they're showing up in droves

I enjoyed the game and a half that I watched of it. It was certainly better than watching MAC or MWC football.

Would definitely give high school kids an interesting choice. Skip college and play four years in the xfl for money or stay in college and get a degree for free.

Ends the whole concern over NCAA antitrust if there is a legit pro alternative.
