I have significant Native American ancestry - not some Warren BS, I'm legit 1/8 through my great grandmother in the Potawatomie tribe. In all honesty I don't have many ties to them but from those I've talked to the sports stuff (whether through team names or fan symbolism) is seen mostly as one of those cultural things they don't take very seriously. Just stay away from overt and stereotypical labeling (e.g. as a Miami Redhawks fan, I completely get why calling teams Redskins probably shouldn't be a thing) and it's fine.

That being said I don't take complaints seriously when it's a bunch of white liberals from New York and California who are playing the victim card. Indigenous rights are a serious issue but ending the tomahawk chop isn't going to eliminate the systemic problems facing them and lead to better quality of life.

I've always liked the Chiefs ever since they left Dallas as the Texans and became the Chiefs in KC. They are my favorite team and it sure makes me glad that they won. Andy Reid also coached at UTEP as an assistant so I was rooting for him too. I really don't like the 49ers and I'm glad that they lost. KC has a good chance of copying the Pats as a dynasty as Mahomes is only 24 years old.
