One brother was a four-star center, the other a high three-star center.
One one hand it's not ideal that they just took three centers in the 2019 class and, if they were to take these twins, they would now have what's essentially a five-man freshman class of all centers. On the other they just had four scholarship players leave and have three players set to graduate (including Yurtseven, who's supposedly going pro after this year) while only currently having two commitments in 2020, and so you take the local four-star guys and figure it out later. Interested to see what happens here.
Good points about the "positional imbalance" with all the centers (potentially) on next year's roster. I see that Yurtseven is a senior, so he would be gone regardless.
I think Yurtseven's actually a redshirt junior. The assumption seems to be that because he's set to graduate this year it's his last season of college ball, as being Turkish makes it easier for him to find a roster spot in a European league and so he'll go pro either way.

Ah. Now it makes sense. Losing Yurtseven would be a big blow to GU. I follow N.C. State loosely (sister attended) and he did well there. But he has been outstanding for the Hoyas.
thx for that update, Bogg.

Ewing needs to stay far far away from them. Even if the twins split up and we had the chance to take the 4* twin I would still say no. Team needs wings/guards.
you could make the argument that Ighoefe looked better than Q during the last game. Center position is fine going forward.

for a Big Man like Ewing, might be hard to not take them...

I'm not so sure that's the case, Wahab's the only one of the three who's shown enough that you can really pencil him in for minutes next year. Other than that maybe one of the two other centers on the roster can give you some burn as a sophomore, but that's not guaranteed. They can take both the Mitchells and still have room for five perimeter players.

Good points but I would prefer GU have six perimeter players (minimum) next year.

Well with Georgetown we've seen that you can't take anything for granted, but theoretically they'll be returning Mcclung, Blair, and Pickett. I expect that's your starting perimeter group with Wahab in the middle and one other forward (probably more of a second big) rounding things out. Add five perimeter guys to fill out the bench and you should be okay.

That could be a solid team next year. But replacing Yurtseven will not be easy.

Recruit top-level players, regardless of position. The rest always works itself out. For Ewing/Georgetown, they are in desperate need of future bodies. They should take what they can get at this point.

3* 2020 F Jyare Davis just committed to Providence. 2nd member of their recruiting class.

Jyare Davis also seemingly had offers from DePaul, Seton Hall and St. John's. Seems a quality pick-up for Providence.

He was apparently a big time prospect before some injuries kept him out for awhile. If so a very good pickup in a lean class for providence

Georgetown needs Tyler Beard for the 1 spot and to convince Efton Reid to reclassify to 2020 and play the 4

Also DePaul landed a top-25 kid out of Arizona in the 2021 class yesterday.

Some specifics:
Per 247: Tyler Beard, a 6-foot-2 guard at Chicago (Ill.) Whitney Young, picked Georgetown over California, Maryland, Texas A&M and Florida Atlantic.
Per 247: DePaul gets Keon Edwards (SF) in Class of 2021. Had offers from lots of quality programs:

For Beard, kind of a crazy group of finalists....
