It's a rental. It's like someone renting a really nice Airbnb and posting photos online saying "Look at my sweet pad!". I guess to be more accurate, it'd also be like posting photos of said Airbnb when the actual house has pictures all over the walls of another family who live there.

RE: Worst AAC Stadium is...
Honestly I am shocked to see UCF as 2nd worst stadium in this poll. Though I guess I'm not that surprised, everyone with their concrete stadiums look down on the bounce-house. When it comes to noise/game atmosphere, I'd argue UCF is right at the top. I would still personally put Memphis (Liberty Bowl), below UCF on this list. Also, for all of you who voted UCF... are you all Tulsa fans or what? How can anyplace be any worse than Chapman Stadium on this list... except for maybe Cessna... which I obviously left off the list, haha!

04-cheers Nice job!

My college stadium visit list is about 20 right now, It is fun to go out to new destinations

i've been to all except Temple and its an NFL stadium so that alone with USF arent fair comparisons. its been a while since i've been to ECU and lots of work has been done there as well. the new stadiums at Tulane and Houston are nice, Yulman is just too small and that visitors side is just kind of weak. LBS is 55 years old but the $50 million or so in upgrades have really helped the old girl. a lot of that money isnt seen by the public (locker rooms, media ect) but its fine. Nippert is wedged in around other buildings but a lot of money has been poured in it especially suites and press box. i do wish the visitors side didnt have port a johns though. UCF folks love their stadium. for the general fan its really pretty spartan underneath the stands but again, its fine. I guess Tulsa would be last but its not a bad stadium. its small and the visitors side is pretty spartan, but its clean and well maintained. the scoreboard and lighting are fine and its got a nice press box. its pretty much exactly what Tulsa needs. there just arent any dog houses in this conference.

Both sides of Nippert stadium have permanent restrooms and port-a-johns so I don't understand your complaint

That's my gripe with it. I looks clean but it looks terrible on TV. Reminds me of watching HS youtube Friday night games. Get some new lighting in that place for television.

Tulsa’s stadium does seat roughly 30K. The problem is the TV cameras face the visitor side which is always more sparse and is just smaller looking.

Yeah - it's pathetically predictable. I'd love for the votes to be unblinded, it would be enlightening...

I can see who's voted what. Let's just say you shouldn't be throwing stones. At all.

I admit I voted for UCF's stadium. You guys freaking sued because it was so poorly built! And it's the worst of the stadiums I've been in. That's not a vote based on fandom, it's a vote based on the fact that the stadium is so unsound it literally bounces.

Say what you want about RJS (and your equivocation about how it shouldn't even be eligible), but nobody can rationally say it's the worst stadium in the conference. Every seat is a chairback, it has state of the art video boards and sound, it's hosted the NCAA CFP title game and 2 (soon to be 3) Super Bowls.

USFFan

Quite a few lies in just one post. Congrats. This may blow your mind but a structure slightly moving does not remotely mean it's "unsound". This is just something that uneducated USF fans toss around, hoping their fellow fans are too dumb to know better. Really tall skyscrapers sway at the top; it doesn't mean the building is about to fall down, it means that it's engineered to have some "give" for a reason.

I think you're mostly just salty that Spectrum is a real, legit home field advantage in which UCF packs fans in. As opposed to RJS, which is empty every Saturday and provides little to no home field advantage.

You guys can hate on Chapman (Skelly) Stadium all you want but I wouldn't trade it for the world. Lots of memories there.

Now a few more people in the stands wouldn't be so bad.

Not hard to keep Tulsa's stadium clean and well-maintained when there is nobody in the stadium to make it dirty/trashed.

RE: Worst AAC Stadium is...
LOL at USF fans mad because they got two votes. Raymond James is a very nice stadium, for the NFL. All the creature comforts that the pro fan demands. But like most NFL stadiums it is sterile. I have been there for UCF/USF games and for several bowl games. The atmosphere stifles crowd participation, the music/PA system drowns out the band/cheers etc. All pro stadiums seem to have this issue. I voted for Tulsa. If you are judging for quality and comfort RJS should not be voted for here. If you are judging on atmosphere RJS just plain sucks. Sorry. My experience at FAU was better from an atmosphere standpoint. From a quality standpoint, no argument RJS is good.

To head off your rusting, metal, erector set without water fountains argument, the 2017 UCF/USF game was one of the best atmospheres I have ever experienced (as was the 2018 UCF/UC game) and I have seen games in SEC/B10/B12/ACC/IND stadiums all over the country. The truth is that construction materials and cup holders don't amount to $h1t when there is a good crowd and great atmosphere.

. . .
but the sound system was atrocious! Aside from that, leg room was non-existent (especially in the chairback seating area), and the concourse was narrow, though with almost nobody at the game this proved no problems. And then with the bathroom troughs?? I felt like I was back at the old Citrus Bowl (pre-renovation).

I like Tulsa's stadium well enough. It could use improvements, but it's pushing 100 years old and most of the bones are still there (basically everything but the press box and end zone structure). I would not want to replace it with an erector set. I would not want to expand unless we really needed the capacity (if you build it, they still won't come).

We invested tens of millions into renovations within the last ~15 years. New endzone complex. New press box/luxury suites. New lodge seating. Removed the erector set sections (downsized). Redid stonework in sections, added in others. New field turf (a couple of times). New concessions and bathrooms on the home side. New video board. New sound system. New stat boards. New video panels on the field. New plaza behind the home side. New chairs for most of the stadium, new bleachers every else. Upgraded locker rooms. The things that were renovated are generally still nice, so far as I can tell.

What you saw, and didn't like, was the east side. It has the old, crappy bathrooms. It only has the old concession stands. It has no plaza outside the old concourse. I sit on the east side, and go to the west side to get concessions because my side is so bad (I will not complain about the piss troughs though. It's all about getting in and out ASAP. But the east side bathrooms do need work).

I don't think the sound system is the problem. Sometimes it sounds great, sometimes not so much. So maybe it's how it is run? The video board was fine when put it, but it is a bit small now - but that's not a priority in my world.

Also worth noting that certain rows are cramped, others are only kind of cramped (normal stadium cramped) . I didn't notice this until I moved up a row one game , it was 2 or 3" more narrow than my normal row. Old stadiums have weird things going on, and tearing out the concrete isn't a realistic option for a renovation.

I haven't been to enough AAC stadiums to intelligently cast a vote (not even half). I've been to plenty of stadiums around the country and have no delusions that Tulsa's stadium is a palace, but it's home. I hope we can make a list and work on some improvements, but most Tulsa fans would be radically opposed to demolition.

Better than any stadium renovation, I'd rather just win some football games.

The more you post the more it seems you have something personal against Tulsa's stadium. Maybe it's because UCF has never won here or something. Who knows.

not a complaint, i dont care where i take a leak as long as its not on my feet. just not a good look, you dont see port a johns at most stadiums, at least the ones I've been to
