Quote:The criminal behavior to which Trump has admitted is much more grave than anything alleged or unearthed by Special Counsel Robert Mueller, and much of what Mueller revealed was impeachable.

The whistleblower’s revelation caused the White House to release a near-verbatim summary of the conversation between the two presidents. By releasing it, Trump has admitted to its accuracy. In it, Trump asked Zelensky for dirt on former Vice President Joe Biden, who at this writing is Trump's likely Democratic opponent in the 2020 presidential election.

Trump also admits to holding up $391 million in aid to Ukraine – $250 million in the purchase of already approved and built military hardware and $141 million in a congressionally authorized grant. This is aid that Trump's own secretaries of state and defense, his own director of national intelligence and director of the CIA, and his own National Security Council unanimously asked him to release.

Trump has also admitted to accusing the as-yet publicly unnamed whistleblower of treason, and suggesting that the whistleblower and those who have helped him are spies and ought to be treated as spies were in "the old days" (Trump’s phrase) – that is, by hanging.

The president’s allusions to violence are palpably dangerous. They will give cover to crazies who crave violence, as other intemperate words of his have done. His words have already produced offers of "bounties" in return for outing and finding the whistleblower.

Trump also suggested that his impeachment would produce a second American Civil War. This language is a dog whistle to the deranged.
Judge Andrew Napolitano: Trump’s call with Ukraine president manifests criminal and impeachable behavior

Keep that hope alive.03-drunk03-drunk03-drunk03-drunk03-drunk03-drunk

As I always have, I will keep hope alive that trump will do the right thing and resign and save embarrassment of the country he so pretends to love.

You do realize in the wild dumbassery fantasy world that he does resign... that Hillary doesn't just waltz into the White House and assume the Presidency... right?

I am not sure about a smoking gun.. I think support will be peeled off gradually in the senate. The President can't call whistleblowers treasonous in public (even if they are) and he can't ask China to investigate Biden in Public (even if they should) because it is unseemly, un-presidential and plays into the Dems hand. He is taking the bait. I fear he will lose support of certain Senate republicans..as he loses public support. Trump has to try his best to appear sane. I just don't think he can do so...

Trump is a populist. And populists always attract the ire of established bureaucracy types. They come up with anything and everything to smear populists. Whether it's true or not is immaterial. Just smear. They did with Huey Long. They did with Edwin Edwards. They did with a bunch more.

Dude, trump himself just did it AGAIN yesterday on camera. He used his office to ask a foreign entity to investigate a political opponent. And shortly before that he admitted that the July 25th call was to get Monica Zelensky to investigate the Bidens.
If he asked them to investigate George Soros would you feel the same?

he said "If they were honest about it, they'd start an investigation..."

So what? He's not putting any "if they start an investigation, I would..." I don't see any threats or influences there... I just see Trump saying "I think they should".

And then he asks China. Plus, go google the texts that were released today. This is not going well for the orange feller.

He says the exact same thing in the video clip about China that he said about the Ukraine... he says "china should"..

I didn't see one spot in his interview comments where said "China should do {this}... or I'll cut off {that}.."

That should be a meaningful point, Grad07. But it's not. Two reasons for this:

1. The left is bereft of logic and incapable of dealing in good faith with the American populace. Really on any issue, but particularly when it comes to President Trump.

2. President Trump is easily just as bad. After years of expecting Americans to "take him seriously, but not literally", people may finally be getting fed up with it.

The Democrats are insane to go forward with impeachment - - but they probably will anyway, ala Leroy Jenkins. I hope they get slaughtered in 2020. They certainly deserve it.

President Trump should have long ago learned how to be an effective communicator on something other than a troll level. He assured us that we would, but he's never delivered on that promise. Nor even tried. I am confident that he will survive impeachment, but he may not get re-elected. And if he loses in 2020, after all of the policy-level success that he's had, that loss will be fully and entirely on him.

Sir, a moment of your time please?

Quote:In newly disclosed text messages shared with Congress, the top U.S. diplomat to Ukraine writes to a group of other American diplomats that "I think it's crazy to withhold security assistance for help with a political campaign.”

The exchange, provided by former U.S Special Envoy to Ukraine Kurt Volker as part of his closed-door deposition before multiple House committees Thursday, shows what appears to be encrypted text messages he exchanged with two other American diplomats in September regarding aid money President Donald Trump ordered to be held back from Ukraine.
'Crazy to withhold security assistance' to Ukraine for political campaign: Top US diplomat

This is not going well guys. Perhaps you should pay a little closer attention to what's going on. I know, it's coming pretty fast.

Further down the article
"In the exchange, obtained by ABC News, the concerns are expressed by Bill Taylor, the top U.S. diplomat to Ukraine. Gordon Sondland, the United States Ambassador to the European Union, responds to Taylor, saying that charge is "incorrect."

"Bill, I believe you are incorrect about President Trump's intentions. The President has been crystal clear: no quid pro quo’s of any kind. The President is trying to evaluate whether Ukraine is truly going to adopt the transparency and reforms that President Zelensk'y promised during his campaign," Sondland says."

Couple things that you may have missed here:

1. Sondland is the ambassador to the EU. Ukraine is not in the EU. Why his Sondland involved here?
2. Sondland's response is several hours later. Could be nothing, but it is interesting.
3. And most importantly, Sondland is a HUGE donor to trump.

Quote:Sondland, who was considered an unlikely choice for his position, is a major Republican donor and bundler. He has given more than $446,000 to federal candidates and groups, 94 percent of which went to Republican causes. In the run-up to the 2016 election, Sondland denied he was sponsoring a 2016 fundraiser event in Seattle for the Trump campaign and said he did not agree with Trump’s values.

But Sondland was listed as one of Trump’s bundlers in 2016. And after Trump won, he funneled $1 million into Trump’s inaugural committee through four different LLCs, OpenSecrets reported.

I have called for resignation over impeachment all along. Pay closer attention.

Based on what, legally?

He can resign for anything. I think he's incompetent and can't handle the job. He's now openly asking for foreign investigations of political rivals, he's using the office to personally enrich himself and his family and on and on. We're just scratching the surface.

Why would he resign? Not his fault the D's keep throwing allegations at him, with no actual legal proof for anything. Why should he resign due to other's obsessions?

Be honest, you can't be of the feeling that this situation is not different than Russia, can you?

Again, this may not bring trump down because the Republicans in the senate likely will just dodge, but this is not going to end well for those left in the orange wake.

Direct evidence. And we've not heard from the former envoy to the Ukraine who trump likely replaced because she would not play along. And did you hear Senator Johnson's comments today? Did you read the texts released today. And documents were requested from Pence today.

It's only just begun....

And as I said, trump may escape by pleading ignorance, but those in his wake won't. #ETTD.

Dude, you really need to pay attention to what's actually happening. We're WAY past this coup nonsense.

Nah, we've seen it all with Mueller. That was the original be all end all. Now it's just more of the same. Sorry, I don't believe any of what the MSM is telling you to believe. You need to believe it so I guess I can see why you still willingly go along with it. It's an obsession that's only creating more Trump supporters, even from people that don't really like the man.

Forget the media dude, use your own eyes and ears. They're not even hiding it any more. Go watch the videos, go read the text messages.

But more importantly, take a notice at what you're NOT seeing. You're not seeing any Republicans in mass other than a few cooks defending trump here.
