so resign because you dont like him? Got it!
No, I don't think he's mentally stable and I'm afraid he's going to do something totally irrational before this is all said and done. He's not aging well and we're only just beginning the second week of this.
like you said, you have been saying this for over a year, and yet, still nothing. So yeah, its because you dont like him.
Yes, he's been a disgrace to the office for well over a year.
We suffered 8 years of the Obama debacle. Any one of the current turds the democrats are running would be worse than Trump or Obama.

That should be a meaningful point, Grad07. But it's not. Two reasons for this:
1. The left is bereft of logic and incapable of dealing in good faith with the American populace. Really on any issue, but particularly when it comes to President Trump.
2. President Trump is easily just as bad. After years of expecting Americans to "take him seriously, but not literally", people may finally be getting fed up with it.
The Democrats are insane to go forward with impeachment - - but they probably will anyway, ala Leroy Jenkins. I hope they get slaughtered in 2020. They certainly deserve it.
President Trump should have long ago learned how to be an effective communicator on something other than a troll level. He assured us that we would, but he's never delivered on that promise. Nor even tried. I am confident that he will survive impeachment, but he may not get re-elected. And if he loses in 2020, after all of the policy-level success that he's had, that loss will be fully and entirely on him.
Sir, a moment of your time please?
Quote:In newly disclosed text messages shared with Congress, the top U.S. diplomat to Ukraine writes to a group of other American diplomats that "I think it's crazy to withhold security assistance for help with a political campaign.”
The exchange, provided by former U.S Special Envoy to Ukraine Kurt Volker as part of his closed-door deposition before multiple House committees Thursday, shows what appears to be encrypted text messages he exchanged with two other American diplomats in September regarding aid money President Donald Trump ordered to be held back from Ukraine.
'Crazy to withhold security assistance' to Ukraine for political campaign: Top US diplomat
This is not going well guys. Perhaps you should pay a little closer attention to what's going on. I know, it's coming pretty fast.
Rwt, as is so often the case, I have difficulty following your thought process. What point are you trying to make?
Is it that Donald Trump is unfit for the office of President of the United States? If that's all you're saying, point granted. The only two reasons that he won election in 2016 were (i) that Obama had made such a cocked up mess over the 8 years preceding and (ii) Hillary was leagues worse.
Or is it your point that you think the Democrats are going to actually hold a vote on impeachment, and then manage to persuade enough Republican senators to vote to convict? If so, I don't see it.
Or is it that you actually think that the Democrats are going to come out political winners when all the dust settles from this mess? If so, you are truly nuts.

Based on what, legally?
He can resign for anything. I think he's incompetent and can't handle the job. He's now openly asking for foreign investigations of political rivals, he's using the office to personally enrich himself and his family and on and on. We're just scratching the surface.
Washington will be a pretty empty place if those are the parameters for resigning. Not necessarily a bad thing for those of us who think the government is too big and too obtrusive.
He can resign for being sick. And there's growing evidence he's anything but stable.
Oh, I didn't check the calendar, are we back to unstable week? Who knew?

The whistleblower’s revelation caused the White House to release a near-verbatim summary of the conversation between the two presidents. By releasing it, Trump has admitted to its accuracy. In it, Trump asked Zelensky for dirt on former Vice President Joe Biden, who at this writing is Trump's likely Democratic opponent in the 2020 presidential election.
Trump also admits to holding up $391 million in aid to Ukraine – $250 million in the purchase of already approved and built military hardware and $141 million in a congressionally authorized grant. This is aid that Trump's own secretaries of state and defense, his own director of national intelligence and director of the CIA, and his own National Security Council unanimously asked him to release.
Trump has also admitted to accusing the as-yet publicly unnamed whistleblower of treason, and suggesting that the whistleblower and those who have helped him are spies and ought to be treated as spies were in "the old days" (Trump’s phrase) – that is, by hanging.
The president’s allusions to violence are palpably dangerous. They will give cover to crazies who crave violence, as other intemperate words of his have done. His words have already produced offers of "bounties" in return for outing and finding the whistleblower.
Trump also suggested that his impeachment would produce a second American Civil War. This language is a dog whistle to the deranged.

RE: Fox's Judge Nap: Criminal and Impeachable Behavior
I respect the judge. I'll still listen to anything he has to say. I'm looking for just two simple sentences: Here's what the President did that is illegal. Here is my irrefutable proof. Until somebody can state that clearly and concisely I'm not even listening, and I don't like Trump. (But I ****ing hate the Democratic Party as currently constituted.)

Amen, you can only cry wolf so many times before I don't give a sh*t about anything they allege. I won't believe anything without overwhelming proof because they've lied so often and blatantly.

I kind of like what someone suggested the other day. Democrats impeach. Then it goes to the senate for trial. Judge turns to the impeachment counsel for the HOR and says, "Call your first witness." Then what?

RE: Fox's Judge Nap: Criminal and Impeachable Behavior
*sigh*
Since Zeihan tweeted about it I watched.
My response was .... this sounds like what I suspect every Presidential major candidate and POTUS since Dubya Round 2 has done, Trump was just unpopular enough with the machine in DC (and in general) that he had someone willing to trade their career to push the issue.
Wanna impeach Trump over this? Fine. But I insist Hillary go to jail over Uranium 1 as well. Let's make it bipartisan since we've been selectively non-enforcing up until now.

RE: Fox's Judge Nap: Criminal and Impeachable Behavior
It seems to me that liberals began to lose their minds when Bush beat Gore. Then when obama got in office they began to pump their chests out and when he was re-elected they became as arrogant and narcissistic as Hussein himself. They thought they had a sure thing in hillary and began a victory lap before the election itself. When they lost, they completely lost their shiiiit and truly believe that the voting public is stupid enough to buy into their absolute madness. They are truly insane and that insanity is on full display for the world to see.
I have no idea how they repair their party.

Dude, trump himself just did it AGAIN yesterday on camera. He used his office to ask a foreign entity to investigate a political opponent. And shortly before that he admitted that the July 25th call was to get Monica Zelensky to investigate the Bidens.
