RE: 2019 MLB Thread
Nats broadcasters with the great stat with Kershaw.... today is start #334 for him in his career. In I believe it was 171 of those, he gave up either 0 or 1 runs.

Think about how sick that is. over half of his starts he's given up either 0 or 1 runs. And going into this year it was 166/316...

he's not the kind of guy you would want as THE pickup- but if you are of the opinion that you need more than 1 guy, he is a pretty good pickup.

Agreed. My fear was (is) the Dodgers will pick up a 2nd tier guy like Diekman and try to sell him as THE guy.

Grace had an ERA over 6 at game time but Dodgers helped him bring that down. But Will Smith off to a good start as the #1 catcher.

yeah, Will Smith doesn't suck, that's for sure...

one thing from today- getting tougher by the minute for the Giants to be sellers. they're getting almost every single break.

Been busy lately so haven't been able to post as much, but kill me. You're right that we've gotten every break. I mean look at our lineup. It's garbage.

I wasn't that high on him--his walk rate not good--we've got enough of those guys. K rate was pretty good, though. Anyway, glad someone else got him.

Last thing the Dodgs needed was another potentially great player. Oh well, he's only broken Piazza's rookie RBI record.

Looks like they'll go for one more hurrah. Good luck--they've earned that shot, and nice to see their FO trying to give it to them. they were dead in the water not too long ago.

Question RE: 2019 MLB Thread
Not sure Philly will want tow ear those all-burgundy old school unis again. It was 4-1 in 2nd, then 11-1 in 3rd, then ended up 15-7 win after Max Fried ran out of gas in 5th. Still, nice bounce back win for Bravos after losing both Markakis to a broken wrist and Swanson to a heel issue. Ender finally had a good night, which we'll need if he's going to be playing.

Still wondering who Braves will pull trade trigger for and what we'll be giving up. Hope not too much. We still need some rotation regulars for future

they deserved to lose with those uniforms.

Did LOVE the old school Braves uniforms though.. Amazing how some old school uniforms are so good, and some are just so bad(Packers old uniforms, Steelers old uniforms just to name 2).

RE: 2019 MLB Thread
think the starting pitching in this Dodgers/Nats series any good? a combined 4 er in 30 ip. Good for a 1.20 ERA. And no Scherzer, Corbin, or Maeda- 3 pretty darn good pitchers in that mix.

Dbacks struggles are two-fold:

Lack of timely hitting - ie will score 9 runs one game, 1 the next

Bullpen - lost way to many one-run games.

wow saw amazing stat... Pujols just became 6th guy with 650 career homers. He's also the 1st guy ever with at least 650 homers and 650 doubles.
