Apogee has tons of brick, and our next project after finishing the new IPF will be renovating the athletic center and south end zone. I also disagree about Charlotte having the most attractive stadium.

Charlotte has one at every restroom.
clt apologizes to usm and marshal fans. Water is what you enjoy when you swim in the creek. You can also drink it as opposed to Mountain Dew. We have stations where you can fill up bottles with pure Fiji water to take back to your seats. You put this water into a yeti or camelbak container.....this is too complicated for y’all sorry
Well, in Mississippi we don't get our drinking water from the restroom.
clt admits that was poorly worded. filling stations are located outside of restrooms.
Trying to entice people to the restrooms...with free water. Next thing you know there will be a lollipop stand next to it. What is wrong with you people
Hell, the water filling stations may be the biggest draw for attending a Charlotte game.
Wow that is small. That doesn't look much bigger than my old high school's stadium here in Texas. Probably about the same crowd size they get on a Friday night too.

They put some railings around on each side but never figured out what they were for. Secondly, the reason it is lopsided is because they removed seating from south end of both sides in order to make room to squeeze in the new end zone facility. Look at the ears on the north of both sides, that is what the south side looked like prior to renovations. Removing those two sections reduced seating to 26,850 but they were able to bump that back up to about 27,150 by adding about 300 in the south end zone facility. They lost some "skybox seating" when pressbox was redone but made those losses up by seats available in the suites they added so the 27,150 was maintained. They list the seating somewhat higher but that must be including the berm area around the scoreboard on north end.
Well those railings you don't see the point of may be there for the 8' height difference between the top and lower sections, but what do I know I've only attended all but a handful of home games over the last quarter century.
The stadium has four entrances on each side. Using either one a fan follows the concourse to its opening onto the field. There is a walkway to right or left extending from end to end. The stadium is in a hole so when entering there are rows of seats below that walkway and rows above but no wall or any change in the normal progressing elevation as the aisles start down at field level and extend uninterrupted all the way to the top of the stadium. Where is that 8' height elevation? Maybe those railings are there so lucky fans can find a place to prop their feet.
Apparently I was overestimating the height, it appears to be just over 6' tall, but there is a wall separating the upper and lower sections.
Looks like a game of semantics. I felt the comments insinuated there were two or more levels in the STRUCTURE of the stadium which would be incorrect. I agree there is a more or less partition, not part of the stadium permanent structure, that as part of the railings does separate the sections along the walkway. There are no higher or lower levels, just uninterrupted ascending rows of seats from top to bottom.
Agreed that it's semantics, and while the proper description may have been top section, I have had the vernacular level used to describe similarly constructed arenas/stadiums I've attended events at. While structurally uninterrupted there is a definitive partition (railings, a walkway, a wall, higher gradient steps leading from the walkway to the seating) that clearly designates the lower seating area from the upper.

Even if Charlotte's stadium was above ground it would still be tiny. I'm from a small town in Texas. I think our video board is about the same size as Charlotte's too. I should not be able to make comparisons to Charlotte's stadium. You guys needs to up your game.

Why over 30k when no one in this conference is averaging close to that in real numbers? Hell at 30k no one in this conference is filling 2/3 of those seats
USM put 20k or close to that in the stands vs a SEC school and a home opener. Now if you read the article on that it will tell you USM did not give away 1000s of tickets like they were doing in the past. I would guess there was at least 2500 uk fans among that 20k
edit:22,761 at the uk game
So again, explain to me why you need 30k? I bet you can count on 2 hands the number of times 30k actual paying fans (current CUSA schools) watched a CUSA game in the last 10 years. I'm not talking about these fake ass numbers in a box score because no matter if we want to admit it or not...
90% of us know they are fake and not with in 25 to 30% of asses in seats.
Marshall has had 3 sell outs of around 40k over the last 10 years. We have multiple games over 30k attendance.

I dont doubt the sell outs. I do very much doubt the 30k and just because the box score says it. Doesn't mean it's true because 2017 Marshall's true attendance was 63% (close to that and I'm not looking it up) of box score listings or 19k actual asses and 35k would be 22k actual asses sitting in seats. Well at least going by what Marshall reported

Well, Purdue wasnt a sell out, but i promise you it damned near was. I was there. IMHO the USM game in 2015 (i think) was over 30 just looking at the stands. Not sure what other game hes thinking of...come to think of it, probably one of our games with Ohio.

We have averaged more than your stadium holds for 20+ years.

We've had 30k+ in attendance for individual games stretching back to the expansion to 33k in the 70s. Average attendance rose gradually. Collins had 30k games. Bower had sellouts. Fedora had sellouts, or near-sellouts. Then faceplant plus realignment equals dropoff. We're still finding our way in C-USA 4.0. I'm optimistic it could rebound some this season.
30k was originally one of the requirements for becoming I-A, now FBS. lazily-searching, 22.4k is the largest high school stadium. 30k+ stadium seats keeps you from being compared to a high school stadium. It also helps you schedule better OOC foes at home. More seats allows you to pay a better guarantee to a well-traveling fanbase's school, aka mid-and-maybe-upper-tier P5 schools. Just another perceived step of legitimacy that needs to be taken.
