UAB too high, USM too low. Jmo. We as a league need to win our OOC games. The Herd must do it’s part.

RE: CBS Pre-season rankings
I am optimistic that we will be better than 109. I am happy that Louisville is rated worse than we are. I am looking forward to facing them on the field. We really should have beat them last season, which shows just how bad we both were.

That’s exactly what I thought.
UAB ended up being a great team last year, but without doing a ton of research, I think at first glance, my impression is that North Texas and FIU will be the class in 2019.

RE: CBS Pre-season rankings
If USM can average like 1 more yard per carry this year then we'll win the conference. That's how close our team is from going 6-5 and staying home or 9-2 and hosting the CUSA 'ship. 6 freaking points separated us from that this past year. Defense will be one of the best G5 defenses. We just have to run the ball just a leeeeeeeeeeeeetle bit better. We return pretty much our entire offensive production this year w/ the addition of more beef on the line. They sky is the limit for USM.

FIU
North Texas
Southern Miss
Marshall
the rest
UAB should probably be ranked in the bottom half of the conference. They lost everyone.
Rice, UTEP, ODU, Charlotte in the cellar.
WKU and FAU trending up. MTSU and Louisiana Tech trending down.

Right........Charlotte beat WKU like a drum last year and also beat FAU on the road to end the season. Most everyone who has actually looked closely at Charlotte this pre-season expects the team to be even better.......great prediction.

I wouldnt put too much stock in beating Western last season. We had an idiot, bigger than the one UNCC had, as coach. A FCS team beat this Western team. at Western. ODU beat this Western team on the 4th play after 00:00.0....
Western had a Boy Idiot coaching. But you are correct UNCC beat Western, like a drum.

Also, I imagine UTEP and Rice could push to the middle.
We’ll see.

I think 6-5 was a good representation of what kind of team we had last year. We did lose some close games, but we also won so close games. We should be extremely competitive this year with a decent run game .

Still one of the most crazy endings to a football game Ive ever seen. Probably always will be.

Charlotte was so bad that it lost it's coach. The new guy will have to be great, particularly in the early years. He'll have to prove himself to me before I can predict you guys any higher than 8th in CUSA. I think that's fair
