Oh, I remember these Dodgers! 7 H, 8 BB, 13 LOB, no runs - yeah that rings some bells...

Welp that was quick. Having x-rays on his left ankle after a slide into 2nd. Bourjos replaces him. Do you think he'll ever play another full season where he's actually healthy?

RE: 2019 MLB Thread
so looking at the Nats after today's game with the Phillies, they've got a 9 game stretch with the Pirates, Giants, and Marlins. They better make some noise there because after that thru Thursday before Memorial Day.....
3 @ Colorado
3 San Diego
4 St Louis
3 @ Philly
3 @ Milwaukee
4 @ Dodgers
3 Mets
3 Cubs
4 @ Mets
30 game stretch that will be huge. After that 13/19 with Mets are done and 8/19 with Phillies are done.

Groin strain. They're calling him day-to-day but how often is healing a groin injury quick? This is gonna be weeks at best. This is how he gives the rest of the league a chance to stay close.

From a production point of view they're not too bad so far. Top 3 NL in pitching; middle of the league offense. That's an ok place to be facing Pittsburg/SFO/FL.

Ohhhh kay... Russell Martin on the IL with lower back inflammation. Not nervous yet but starting to feel some injury momentum. The Dodgers still have a bunch of older and/or injury prone guys...

This happens to him every year. Either he goes on the IL, or he plays through it, but it greatly affects his production. I don't remember the last time we actually got a full season of healthy Mike Trout.

He skipped last night's game and they're off today. Expected in the lineup tomorrow. Dodged a bullet or just a matter of time?
And 2016 was his last full season.

another mediocre start for Buehler. 5 runs in 3 innings. His ERA is up to 9.00 with 11 runs in 11 innings. only 8 strikeouts. Just looking last year he only had given up 10 runs thru end of May.

Velo was good; high 90s, but control was terrible today. Only 2 walks but couldn't locate his curve at all.
Worried about the starting pitching. First couple of weeks notwithstanding, this team isn't really built to just outscore people.

Don't remember, but he played 159 games, fWAR of 9.7 and won the AL MVP. I guess he *could* have been better?

Rockies at SF for 4 game set. Samardzija going for Giants. If Rockies can’t hit that loser, problem is worse than I first believed.

Looks like it's worse. Their offense is a total joke. It will improve, as Arenado and Blackmon are not likely to go homerless for the season, but it's unlikely to be a good offense. And now they're 3-10, which is a pretty deep hole in a competitive league and a semi-competitive division. To channel stever, if they want to duplicate last season's 85 wins they're going to have to go 82-67 the rest of the way. A .550 pace is not easy when your offense stinks and the competition is fierce.

It's worse than that swoosh.... they won 91 games.... So would need to go 88-61 the rest of the way- a .591 96 win pace.
