You gotta believe the other locker room is thinking the same thing...
they're playing the conference champs, who swept them this year. and they're similarly physically fatigued. With a seasoned, senior All-Conference backcourt... and a POY who can "wake up" at any moment and pop 20 pts in a flash.
"Beating the Monarchs will be hard AF to pull off!"

We fight to the bitter end tonight.
My superstitions wouldn’t allow me to post on this thread (after my original support) or read this thread until after the victory. This is so gratifying and enjoyable.
Funny thing is my wife called me midway through the 1st half and asked if we're available for a dinner date on Sunday.
I said... well, no. If we win, there will be Selection Sunday to watch.
Bassey seemed out of it. My theory is that hes used to things being easy and when we put a grown ass man on him, he kinda lost interest in banging down low. The kid is a stud, but hes also a freshman and thats a common problem with freshman. (Though Kalu doesnt seem to lose focus that easily).

My theory is his conditioning is not very good. He only plays about 30 min a game. 3 games in 3 days, with the 3rd being the most physical, was just too much for him.
Does he still go to the NBA? I didn't watch many WKU games besides ours, but he didn't impress me at all as a prospect in those games.

He shouldnt be gassed 5 mins into the game. He looked more disinterested than tired to me.
Looking at the box score, I didn't realize how shallow WKU was. They had 4 players off the bench and here are their minutes played: 5, 4, 4 and 4. Compare that to our bench of 4 players who played 20, 13, 13, and 10. Having a deep team this year made quite a difference (imagine if we had Godwin on top of all of this).
Some other box score tibits:
We only shot 9 FT, even with them intentionally fouling at the end, compared to their 24.
The were 18-52 from the field for 34.6%. Yikes.
Their lone senior played a full 40 min, he (Bearden) went 2-10 from the field.

For those of you who did not know it, Robinson was playing in front of a home crowd last night. He is from Garland, TX a suburb of Dallas and only 30 to 40 minutes away from Frisco. I'm sure he had family and friends there.
