People finally cleaned up their coaches poll votes. No votes for North Texas or Southern Miss this week, lol.

I wonder if we hadn't choked against Oregon St, Marshall and UTSA would we actually be ranked. So close to having our only three losses be St. Joes, UNI, FAU.

It likely would have been Charlotte, WKU, Marshal, and FAU as our final 4 games if you look at the women's schedule. So we would have played them anyway. This had nothing to do with POD play. A win against WKU helps but it would have been part of our normal schedule.

If so, it would have been at WKY, which would be helpful in a win and hurtful in a loss.

Plus it would have been FIU and not Charlotte as the fourth game since ODU would have played Charlotte twice no matter what.

Yes they are better teams and have slightly better NET rankings but not that much to make a difference because of the QUAD system. What counts more is a win.

Our winning streak and our record got us the votes. Yes beating WKU was helpful because they are a top their team in our league. However the POD system had nothing to do with it because would have played them anyway.

And I don’t believe we’d be having the conversation TODAY about getting votes. The WKU win topped off an already nice record. A Charlotte win wouldn’t have gotten the same job done TODAY in my opinion. So, POD schedule helped.

We really do like to argue about the silliest things.
