I'd prefer So Miss and Marshall. Would tighten the footprint and keep football competitive. Despite that, two of our teams dropping to FCS would be a bad look.

The easiest thing would be to maintain the status quo -- replace UConn with Cincy, and replace Cincy with UConn.

Trying to upgrade is the goal here, not much to choose from:

UMass for UConn (They are both in he middle of nowhere with no football to speak of, and claim large DMA access)

Buffalo for UC (Better ranked basketball, similar football ranking this past season, better WBB, and part of the largest University system in the country (SUNY), but NY politics SUCK so that large system might file for bankruptcy soon)

I'm curious to know why there is an obsession with Buffalo basketball? They never made the tournament prior to their current coach which was in 2015. When he gets plucked they are just going to disappear again. Also their facility would likely be the worst in the AAC.

No one is going anywhere until Texas and Oklahoma say they are. They are in charge of the next round realignment and will dictate what happens with their future decisions. They control the 8 dwarfs in the B-12 if they stay and will decide who they take with them if they go. If they stay ESPN and those two will dictate if the B-12 expands or not. If they go and take anyone with them the remaining schools will pick who they want in a 12 team conference from the AAC, MWC, and BYU. The remaining G5 conferences will then backfill from each other. Sit tight until 2025.
