Houston beat Utah State at home, who isn't projected as a tournament team by over half the brackets and has no wins over tournament teams.

And we here we have someone who strongly implied the Houston win over Utah state was a higher quality win. Just wildly ridiculous.

bearcatmark and justin do love them some kenpom...lets who is a better quality win according to their wise kenpom

You really don't understand the difference between home/neutral/away games do you?

I know Houston hasn't been in this situation much in the last three decades but the selection committee values wins away from home way more than wins at home.

This is day 1 stuff.

i think we might be debating different things...what does committeee have to do with this...

the whole debate a was about quality of team...which is why i mentioned oregon...this wasnt about ncaa committee selection

You literally mention quality win in your last post. Not quality of team. "Quality win." But spin it whatever way you need to.

Even putting aside the seeding argument, and isolating things just to this specific point, a neutral win over #42 is better than a home win over #41.

KP doesn’t use resume by the way, only quality of team, so using their system, Houston isn’t exactly a top tier team. I know you don’t like his system, and I agree it’s not perfect, but that isn’t a good indicator of UHs ceiling. It basically says Houston is on par with last year.

as in to show what this team is capable of...

the quality of our wins and lack of losses show what we are capable off.. nothing to do with selection by the ncaa

the core debate was the justin dug up an old post in which i said i would stick with houstons top players over cumberland...and my response was "is my opinion supposed to change" ....and then we got into a debate about caliber of teams and using resume as reference to show capabilities..
