After Coastal got theirs approved, I said GAST should pitch the same idea with their stadium. I think if it had a Sun Belt and CUSA/AAC tie in, it would be really well attended.

Looks like Greenville NC (ECU) is looking to host a bowl for 2020 and the SBC has interest in signing on. A rotating tie-in with this bowl that could alternate with the Myrtle Beach Bowl would work well.
Possible 2020 Bowls for the belt:
Mobile
New Orleans
Montgomery
Orlando
Myrtle/Greenville
Beats the hell out of travelling to the Bahamas or Hawaii.
What? DId I just hear someone say that traveling to Greenville, NC "beats the hell out" of traveling to Hawaii or the Bahamas for a bowl game? Seriously? I'd rather travel to Zimbabwe for a game than being forced to travel to Greenville, NC to see our Mountaineers play on EZU's home field in a neutral-site game. It will be bad enough to have to head down there again to see ASU play EZU in this upcoming series, but for a bowl game? What would the players do for fun during all the bowl downtime and activities? Go see where the Waldenbooks and Lenscrafters used to be in the mall? I'll take the Bahamas or Hawaii any day, and if you can find a player or staff member who would say the same it's only because "nana doesn't fly" or "papaw is just wanting to see one more game live and Greenville is close enough"...that's it. Otherwise, no one is going to Greenville, NC for anything other than the 3-hour game window, maybe one night before if it's a Noon start. The Bahamas or Hawaii on the other hand - Black & Gold will be there all week. Yeah, maybe not in the same numbers as Greenville, but even if I couldn't make the game I'd *almost rather watch a game from an island, any warm and sunny island, on TV than actually go to Greenville. And it would be in December no less. Jeez. Greenville and that part of the state is just that rough. Might as well just put a bowl game in Hays, KS or Nowhere, Oklahoma...the literal town of Nowhere.

I think the players would love to travel to the Bahamas or Hawaii
Greenville is about an hour from Atlantic Beach, NC and two hours fifteen minutes from the Outer Banks. A bowl in Greenville wouldn't be all bad.
Doubt that the Atlantic will be on your mind much in December. A lot of rip tides around Atlantic beach as well. Been there, done that.

Have you been to Hays? It would be a fine place for a bowl but it would have to be called a plate instead. That is because none of those pesky hills , trees or buildings to get in the way of your view of horizons. Yes it could be a punishment “plate for a couple of 6-6 teams

If there’s 2 0-12 teams they should play a plate game there
