Much of the 2nd level is empty for virtually every game...yet UCF still charges $20 for single game tix for those seats.

Does the Administration provide an explanation for the pricing? In theory, a fuller house helps the home team, adds to concession revenue, and allow fans of lesser means to afford a live game.

Our AD is trying to use the same ticketing philosophy for basketball as he has successfully done for football. Make the individual ticket prices significantly higher than the per game season ticket price to incentivize people to buy season tickets. There are three major problems with that though.

1. It is much easier to go to all of the football games in a season than all of the basketball games in a season.
2. Unlike the football team, the basketball team has not been to the NCAA tournament since 2005 and has never won an NCAA tournament game in four appearances.
3. Florida is a football state, not a basketball state.

Memphis is an indoor state, not an outdoor state. It doesn't rain indoors.

Folks from Mississippi **** in the concession area, but the seating area remains dry.

Saying $10 for ECU is misleading. It’s not like 10 year olds are showing up en masse to buy tickets. General Admission is $20.

Attendance smack is the worse. The different approaches based on supply and demand to setting ticket prices is at least interesting.

I got curious, and went back and re-read the thread. It's mainly just me and HuskyU goofing on each other.

Beyond that, a couple of responsible Memphis fans provided ticket data, and then one Memphis fan talked a little mild smack.

I think we both have the wrong impressions, lol.

I understand. In a way it's hard on Memphis being the prettiest girl in the conference. All the conference ugly girls hate you. Still Wichita State needs to go back and sit down at the angry, jealous ugly girl table with East Carolina and Tulane. Don't try to stand next to us. It doesn't work that way. Life isn't fair.

However once the game is sold out, they do sell SRO tickets for 30 bucks.

I'm looking for AAC Trophies (football and basketball) at Memphis since the conf started over 6 years ago...and I think I only see a co-conf championship in football from a few years ago and that's it.

UCONN used to be the pretty girl. Now she's just that middle aged woman who enters every spring break wet t-shirt contest.
