Sorry, been busy all day, didn’t have a chance to post a preview.

Mercer hung tough with Florida in their last time out; they lost 71-63. They’re also 4-1 at home.

Hope that CB took the team by The Big House, the Allman Brothers Band museum while in Macon. Also a little history lesson about 2 Macon natives, Richard Penniman (aka Little Richard) and Otis Redding would provide some inspiration to the squad

Looks like Cacok is finally getting some calls to go his way as they’re aggressively trying to body him to keep him off the boards.

Played tough defense and didn’t turn the ball over. Cacok didn’t get his 2nd foul until late in the first half. I think a lot of our season is going to depend on his maintaining that balance between aggressive play and getting whistled.

Putting it in the hands of CAA refs is always dicey.

Up by 2 at half with Mercer still shooting close to 54% with UNCW only shooting 41% UNCW with 3 turnovers in the 1st half has to be a record this season. Need to lock down on D in the 2nd half.

There was also one whole possession where we pressed and trapped. Forced a Mercer TO. Not sure why wouldn’t do that some more???

Me either, much of our lineup is long and athletic and those are the exact types of players that cause problems when you make a team play fast.

Dumb jawing and shoving from Estime draws a tech. C’mon guys. Finally playing a solid game again. Don’t do dumb stuff to ruin it.
