People seem to forget that this is a bonus game that not everyone plans for and it’s not part of a season ticket package which means 25-35 per ticket.i hate middle, but I also know that the storms that was passing through didn’t help either and this area of the country is pretty fickle unless your UK basketball

Also, the school was charging students 5.00 to attend. They basically told students not to attend by making such a stupid move. We shoot ourselves in the foot more than any school I've ever seen. I'm surprised we still have toes left.

Students don’t get in free, someone from WKU had bought the students tickets for them when we hosted

While I think we should have found a solution to getting more students into the stadium for free, not having more students willing to pay five dollars to see their team play for a conference title is a larger issue from my perspective.

Relax buddy, y'all got a good win but you barely got it. It was a game of luck and the ball bounced your way. Congrats.

Everyone in the Mid Tennessee area was expecting some rough storms and severe weather. That's enough to keep folks away in this town. It didn't happen during the game but the bottom let out as soon as I got home. It is what it is.

It actually had nothing to do with the ball bouncing? It had to do with the ability to count

Then you didn't watch the game. The 12 man penalty with 1:10 left was no guarantee of anything. We had plenty of opportunities squandered well before that.

Lol geez, c'mon man, did you honestly think the purpose of this thread was to advocate that Judy and CUSA create some by-law stating that attendance should be the sole determiner of who hosts/wins CUSA.

UAB had ok attendance at this game ...maybe 3k but thats nothing to brag about when for most UAB fans this was a 2 to 2.5 hour drive. Hell UAB fans could have ate a late breakfast at home, drove to the game and been home for Dinner. Dont get any easier than that for a road championship game

Should have easily had double what you had ... with the threat of rain

You guys sure like throwing rocks in a glass house. UAB had the best traveling crowd of the season.

RE: MTSU didn't deserve to win that game with that TERRIBLE fan turnout
It wasn't a threat of rain. It was a threat of severe thunderstorms all freaking week. You had to be here but the way the news promoted this storm all week was insane. You would have thought Armageddon was upon us. I had many folks say they weren't taking the chance and chose to watch it from home.

I showed up in full head to toe rain gear with my wallet and phone in a zip lock bag expecting a fire hose to be put on me for 4 hours and it was nearly bone dry throughout the entire game. We didn't know what the weather would do until we got there. Well hell, that's way too late to get people there then. They were at home waiting for the apocalypse of 2018 to happen.

UAB's crowd was great. Real fans and they were passionate. I hated like hell watching them run onto our field but I have no control of our team. I'm a spectator. If I had control, we'd be champs. The slant route was open against that coverage all day and we never went with it once. I would have used Dobson on a wheel route when lined up for a sweep. UAB's D would have not been able to contain him. That shoestring tackle on Dobson saved the game for UAB. Oh well, it was a heck of a game. Congrats to UAB.

You guys had a good crowd, but I think NT took more to UTSA.

RE: MTSU didn't deserve to win that game with that TERRIBLE fan turnout
This is the sixth time in the last 17 years that MT had a chance to win the one game that was for an outright conference championship. And for the sixth straight time we choked it away. I can’t blame people for not coming. They knew what was going to happen. And I feel like a idiot for tossing everything aside, making the long trip, and believing again. Fool me once. How dumbe we all have to be who went for being fooled for a sixth time.

After that game and after reading some of the comments on this board in the past 24 hours I’m not sure whether or not I have anything left to contribute to this forum. Good day.

Wow as a Blazer fan the success you have had was something we dreamed about when we were winning 2-4 games No one in this league should throw shade at anyone’s attendance period.

And MTSU was closer to the game and could have had three meals at home, since that is the arbitrary standard you are using. Attack the away crowd when the home crowd didn’t show up. You are weird
