None of those thing affected UAB
UAB had ok attendance at this game ...maybe 3k but thats nothing to brag about when for most UAB fans this was a 2 to 2.5 hour drive. Hell UAB fans could have ate a late breakfast at home, drove to the game and been home for Dinner. Dont get any easier than that for a road championship game
Should have easily had double what you had ... with the threat of rain
Where are you guys bowling again?
Stfu
You seem like a smart person so tell me what you said has to do with any part that you quoted? It doesn't but my answer if Weather was not a factor for UAB fans or didn't play into it....you had a light turnout for a championship game game 2 to 2.5 hours away for a "dream season"
But since you brought up going bowling...
I can tell you that Western easily had 6 to 8k at Bowl games in Detroit, Boa and Miami. That first one was during a blizzard on the drive up for most fans...not a Birmingham blizzard of 1/2 inch of snow but 8 to 14 inches the farther north you went
Congratulations on making the 3rd bowl in the history of your program and the championship
You think going to a football game is some measure of sacrifice, of commitment?
The Trustees spent $3 million on just one of the PR firms (Sard-Verbinnen) they sent against us. We met them, we fought them, we defeated them. We waged a political revolution, we took to the streets, and we won.
You went to a football game.
We stormed the Alabama State House. We brought fear into a political machine that had not known defeat since Wilson’s Raiders burned their filthy campus in 1865. They destroyed our program the same way they set fire to small animals as children. And we took it back.
You went to a football game.
They had millions of dollars, a wholly-owned state government, and the allegiance of millions of slavering bammers and a compliant media machine. We had a chick named Courtney with mad Twitter skilz and a smiling dude in a wheelchair.
But hey, you went to a football game and that definitely makes you a much, much better person than Attalla, a quiet hero who put his life on hold for 18 months to fight to bring this program back, looking after us and constantly checking in to make sure no one spent more than they could afford.
At least you’ve got one of those terrible crying towels handy.
