Why are Liberty and NSU playing today? I guess they are both set to make a very little amount of money? Other than that, zero reason as Liberty isn't even bowl eligible.

It's a rescheduled game from the Hurricane weekend. Liberty was going to play it unless NSU somehow qualified for the Celebration Bowl or the FCS playoffs.

Liberty isn't bowl eligible except that they MAY get into a bowl this year because they have a bowl tie in with the Cure Bowl. If there are not enough eligible teams for the Cure Bowl to select from the field, then Liberty could get in with a waiver from the NCAA. Obviously you can expect Falwell to pursue that bowl game if he can. Maybe he'll get his lawyers to threaten the NCAA again.

I just want Marshall to beat Tech.

21-0 Black Bears. Complete domination so far. It's still the 1st quarter. This is quickly become a SHSU/JMU 2016 type of game where everyone said we had no chance against a favored team and then they just completely **** the bed against us.

I know it is a makeup but I thought I heard there are already more bowl eligible teams than spots so 0.0% chance that Liberty is getting an invite.

Not at all. They were talking about it, they mocked it and I’m fine with that. It’s a lower level bowl and deserves a little mocking. Still a clear upgrade over the ones we’ve been in so far, so good progress!

Then they did a pick-em for our game and Quavo talked about going to App. Now I’m watching our game on ESPN. Continued great exposure for us and I couldn’t be more pleased. Every little bit helps and adds up over the years.

Any pretense of Marshall trying to win ended when they completed a pass on 3rd down at the Tech 25 for a 7 yd loss and followed it up with a punt into the end zone from the Tech 32. It is not like Tech hasn't given up tons of yards all year. Punting down 17-6 from the 32 screams, "thanks for the money, will you require anything else??"
