I had to be at City Hall this morning, about 2 hours after the Feds showed up. I saw a lot of local camera people, but didn't realize they were after Burke until I heard it in the news.

He is the second most powerful man in Chicago since he is the Finance Committee Chair. He runs the City's WC.

That firm has a bunch of clients. Lots of larger landlords and developers in Chicagoland. In no manner does Burke work exclusively for Trump. The only reason you posted the article is because Burke's firm has done work for the Trump organization. That firm has worked on thousands and thousands of cases. You can't work for the city's Finance Committe/Tax Appeals and then be representing clients seeking to reduce their real estate taxes. There has probably been kickbacks given to city employees / Aldermen for decades in order to receive favorable outcomes on tax appeal cases. Lots of their clients also do business with the city/county, Banks, Blue Cross Blue Shield etc.

Burke's aldermanic and campaign office were raided. His law offices were NOT.

So, while the headline is technically accurate, it is at least misleading. As of today, nothing the FBI took yesterday could have had anything to do with work Burke did for Trump.

Yeah...so? I posted the article because of the timeliness of it. It coincided with Cohen and Deutsche Bank. Yes, it could be nothing and just a giant coincidence. Just as I alluded to in my initial post.
