2019 paradise jam
Did you guys know that we’re in the paradise jam next year? I just saw that when I saw Nevada was in it too. Not the strongest field- it’s GCU, Nevada, Cincinnati, bowling green, Fordham, Illinois State, Valpo and western Kentucky

Not the strongest field?!?! Nevada is currently #6 in the country. Cincy was ranked all of last year. Illinois State is one of the top teams in the MVC. Valpo is formidable and Western Kentucky continues to accumulate 4 star recruits. I would be very pleased to have NMSU play in a tourney with those teams.

For Nevada the field is not that strong, but it is a good field for GCU with several teams not that far ahead of GCU in the current KenPom rankings. Of course, a lot can change once next year rolls around. Here is the current ranking:
(5) Nevada
(41) Cincinnati
(79) Western Kentucky
(125) Illinois State
(132) GCU
(141) Valpo
(167) Bowling Green
(247) Fordham
