Broncos run out of the arena by Ole Miss, sit @ 1-1 overall w/ a win over Detroit Mercy.

Ball State lost to Purdue by 9. It was back and forth for 3/4 of the game. Purdue made a big run and that was it.

Size can be an issue for them but they are going to be pretty good.

Ball State came out shaky and looked scared for about 5 minutes. Then, they got their legs and outplayed Purdue for the rest of the first half and it was a 1 point game at halftime. The first half was Persons vs Edwards and it was pretty epic. Ball st led early in the second half but lost contact when Purdue got momentum. Ball has good offense and bench but struggled on the boards against Purdue (who does have a dud who is like 8 feet tall and fairly agile). I wasn't too impressed with the Ball St defense, but maybe they will tighten that up-they have the pieces to be pretty good defensively.

Miami looked mediocre vs Butler. They have enough speed and talent but gotta play with more maturity, take better shots and maintain defensive focus. If they buy in on running offense to get good looks and stay alert on d they should be tough for smaller teams to beat.

Western was kind of a mess vs Ole Miss. I'm not convinced they have enough at point guard to compete in the MAC. I like how Printy, their 2 guard is developing. Hawkins can coach. They have a lot of guys in new roles so I wouldn't write them off yet if their pg can get them into their offense.

Is our schedule right? We play Northern Kentucky again?

more and more mid majors are playing non-conf home and home sets because none of the big boys will play on campus road games out of conference. NCAA really needs to step in and force schools to play real road games (I know money talks, won't likely happen). Attendance is down at most mid majors and one reason is that they no longer get a home game or two from bigger programs with local followings. If you look at a Toledo schedule from the 70s, 80s, 90s it is peppered with home games against teams that never play at MAC schools these days. Those big non conf games really helped w season ticket sales and fan interest.

Ball State is playing a home and home with Evansville of the MVC this year.

WMU played an in-season home and home with High Point several years ago. That was the only time I remember that happening for WMU.

Buffalo leading Southern Illinois 60-43 with 3:25 left in the game.

1980... We are one of the 10 longest draughts of teams which have been there previously. I believe BGSUcks is the longest.

In 2014, 2007 and 1981 we won the MAC regular season.

Tyler Parsons just fell hard flat on his back and has to go to the locker room. Did not look good. He walked off, though, however gingerly.
