I know UMass football stinks even they just beat UConn

Also their Basketball is no where it should be

But UMass offers a large TV number and a rivalry with UConn

They are also a good school and fits our geographic.

Anyone? I am all open to criticism

They can take our spot. You'll be exchanging similar football programs, but taking a big hit in basketball. Enjoy!

How bout UMass and UConn just combine their football teams. They'd probably still be the worst team in the conference but I think itd be a step in the right direction.

RE: maybe, UMass to American?
How are they a better option than Buffalo right now?

Buffalo is getting votes in both the football and basketball polls. I hope I didn't just jinx their season now.

And last week's game against Toledo had good local TV ratings.

I mean the obvious thing to do is

(little) East
UCF
USF
ECU
CINCINNATI
TEMPLE
UCONN
+ UMASS
+ BUFFALO
+ ARMY/VCU

Conference-West-S-A
HOUSTON
MEMPHIS
NAVY/WICHITA
TULANE
TULSA
SMU
+ BYU
+ UAB
+ Air Force/St. Louis

OBVIOUSLY!

Let's add another northern school that stinks at football and poor attendance.

Luckily conference realignment is more than a few years from now. Let us get our house in order. Hockey has come back and currently #16. Let's see what McCall can do in BB and what happens with football. We won 6 A10 titles last year in the non revenue sports.

A bit premature to claim UMass hockey has come back...

We played #1 Ohio State in their house, won the first and played well in the second.

UMass and Liberty to the MAC makes far more sense...UMass, Buffalo, Liberty, Kent St, and Akron can all be buddies.

UMass should be on the short list should we need a replacement, but at this point they aren't worth going above 12 members for.
