Completely 100% AGREE.
None of our business.
Non American not on American soil.
Doesn't have ANYTHING to do with American interests.
Just a question for the Outrage Police.
Do you expect that EVERY country that commits an atrocity should be our concern? Do you think EVERY non citizen that falls victim to a horrific murder should be our concern? Do you think that EVERY appalling act that occurs on foreign soil should be our concern?
Or is it a case of it being the Saudis that has everyone's ire?
In any case, spare us the wailing and gnashing of teeth, our country has dealt with criminals and despots for years so it's not something new.
Actually, it is our business. He is a legal resident. And 2, he is a reporter for a US newspaper company.
1) Legal resident doesn't mean citizen.
2) Even if he were a citizen, I've always been from the school of thought that if you knowingly decide to go to an area that's openly hostile to Americans or choose to go to a country that doesn't believe in "human rights" and something happens..... That's on YOU, not on us. Go to ISIS controlled land and get captured & beheaded. Go to NK and get thrown into prison. Your decisions, deal with the consequences.

I'm starting to wonder when your brain matter is going to fully develop.
Because the Saudis don't value a destabilized Middle East, which is exactly what ISIS does. They destabilize and cause massive problems. That's bad for business. I understand most liberals don't understand basic business principles, but hey... I'm always willing to help you.

RE: Saudis preparing to admit journalist killed in interrogation gone wrong
Here is the unstated problem. Most of western Iraq and eastern Syria are Sunni. The governments in Baghdad and Damascus are Shia (Alewite, a Shia sect, in Syria). As long as those situations exist, there is always going to be pressure for the formation of something like ISIS. The Saudis will fund ISIS up to a point, because the Saud family is Sunni. Iran is mostly Shia. But here's the weird part--most of the part of Iran where the oil is found is Sunni, and most of the part of Saudi where the oil is found is Shia. So it gets confusing. And you can bet that Sunnis are stirring up as much trouble as they can in the Sunni part of Iran, and Shias are stirring up as much trouble as they can in the Shia parts of Saudi.

You do realize ISIS hates the Saudis about as much as they hate the US, right? I mean, why in the hades would the Saudis give weapons to ISIS, which would turn right around and fire said weapons at the Saudis?

Royal divinity.....
Who gives the royal family their divine right????
The last thing the House of Saud wants is a secular state.
