What belief do you have that is being attacked? That people are obligated to stand for the anthem? That's a pretty stupid belief to hold.
I'll be glad to tell you what bothers me about this whole damn thing.
1) The idea that some millionaire athlete thinks he can lecture the rest of us about how "oppressed" he is because of his "color".
2) The idea that some millionaire athlete has the audacity to think that whatever issues his "community" has with the police is even CLOSE to what REAL suffering and oppression is. There are places where a person's beliefs can get you killed or imprisoned, a far cry from complaining about "conditions" in some areas. Take a trip to North Korea, try spouting off, and see what happens if you REALLY want to experience what you CLAIM is happening here.
3) Most do not bother to point the finger of blame where it belongs, at the people who are committing the crimes and promoting the violence. Change STARTS at home.
4) More "people of color" were killed in Chicago this weekend by OTHER people of color than have been by white police officers in MONTHS. Instead of "taking a knee", call THOSE people out.
5) It's NOT a 'free speech" issue. The NFL, as your employer, has EVERY right to insist that you steer clear of issues while at work, and the game IS at work. If the kneel crowd wants to bloviate after the game on their OWN time, fine, but most of us don't give a crap about their "cause".
6) The idea that this goof has "sacrificed everything" is a total joke. If that was what Nike was striving for, how about kicking that SJW bullcrap to the curb and run an ad with people who REALLY "sacrifice everything" using athletes from the service academies?
