Jeh Johnson openly admitted that they did the same thing, indicating that there is no simple fix and the alt-left is just using it to score cheap political points. The problem with that is that the American people see through it, as President Trump's approval ratings continue to rise, and he's up 10 points in the past month with Hispanics.

I do think he wants to reduce legal immigration. I want merit-based, but I think we should be admitting more. When Microsoft has to build a campus in southern BC because it can't get work permits for foreign masters and Ph.D. in IT graduates, we have a problem.

IMHO, and even larger issue than that is why can't they find masters and PhD's in IT among legal U.S. citizens? With 300 million people living in the U.S., you would think that wouldn't be a problem. A different discussion for another thread.

I saw an interesting (hilarious) tweet thread earlier this morning about millennial socialists, and how they aren't anti-materialistic or anti-bourgeois, they think that socialism is their path to materialism and a bourgeois lifestyle. They all have iPhone X's, eat $14 avocado toast and drink $8 coffee. They all desire to live in a Brooklyn or San Francisco loft.

They're just all losers and want the middle class to subsidize their failure.
