RE: 2018-19 OOC schedules
Yeah, the home schedule is pretty disappointing. I would say this is the worst home schedule in the d1 era. Maybe it stings more because they also raised season right prices 80 to 200% depending on location. I was also informed that my section is paying a 25% premium because we get the honor of watching the havocs...

Now GCU fans are being treated like D1 fans.
If you are having to pay extra for watching the havocs, does that mean the havocs are being paid themselves? Money is being made off of them.

You may or may not be right about the Havoc leaders (I have no clue), but just writing the word "Fact" does not make something a fact. I know our American culture today seems to think it does, but it would help to provide proof instead of just typing the word, "Fact".

Do a little research. Go onto the GCU Havoc Twitter account and you will find the job posting. I don't have to make up stuff about GCU and/or the Havocs. It's all right there. It's a paid position. https://twitter.com/GCUHavocs/status/963246191629647872

RE: 2018-19 OOC schedules
There are 9 GCU Havocs leaders but I'm not sure how many of them are paid a part time wage. My guess would be 4 are paid that part time wage. I also thought you meant every kid in the Havocs student section was getting paid. I also don't see it as huge issue. No different than working for the school in another fashion like the coffee shop or being part of the summer maintenance crew or going to college fairs to recruit new students. and at 10-12 bucks an hour isn't much money as a part time worker.

RE: 2018-19 OOC schedules
It does explain why the GCU student section is so well choreographed. The Havoc is not a naturally occurring event for each home game. There is some money involved to make it happen...music selection, cheer moves, chants, and dressed attire.

I SAW GCU’S NON-CONFERENCE SCHEDULE AND HAD THE OPPOSITE OF A SPIRITUAL EXPERIENCE
The same outlet was pleading on their twitter for GCU to not have cupcakes in their OOC for the entire schedule then rips them more lol.
Now that GCU has gained some notoriety with a packed arena, the Havoc, and "some" quality home wins, no "decent" P5 program is willing to risk their reputation with a road loss to a mid-major. Lope nation is experiencing (with a less than stellar home schedule) what Panamaniacs have experienced for years.

I know a couple of years ago after narrowly winning at the Pan Am the Arizona Wildcat coach Miller said he would never come back to play at the Pan Am.

It is a scholarship that is maybe 1500 from the last that I heard, but that was two seasons ago. Obviously it has likely changed since than due to the larger staff and the notoriety that it has gained nationally. While they are getting someone, lets stop acting like they are making more money than they would with a normal job.

Thunder, where did you hear that it was previously a 1,500 dollar scholarship? I have been searching everywhere to try and find out exactly what the scholarship offer is since Dancing told me to "do a little research" and implied that he had done research by going to a Twitter account.

RE: 2018-19 OOC schedules
I don't think anyone here knows for sure, including you... I would guess that the havoc leaders are either getting a scholarship or paid like student workers. The same way hundreds of other students are paid on campus. Students who work in the library, labs, arena, etc. Some students are RAs or life leaders and receive a scholarship. Every university has paid student workers. The Havocs function much like student government. Not sure why it matters to anyone. I guess it helps you deal with the fact that GCU has more fan turnout than other WAC schools. Whatever. Deal with it.
