Quote:Outraged anchors and correspondents at ABC, CBS and NBC attacked the Trump administration for separating children from parents at the border as they overwhelmed their Monday morning and evening news programs with a massive 94 minutes of coverage on the detainment policy.
Overall, in just six days of coverage (June 13 through June 18) the nets have flooded their broadcasts with almost three hours (176 minutes) of emotional segments that included pictures of crying children and accompanying anger from correspondents and pundits alike.
And while the policy has been criticized by both Democrats and Republicans (including President Donald Trump himself), the networks have either completely dismissed or mostly ignored the similar policies in place during the Barack Obama years. In fact, the New York Times actually criticized Obama in a July 18, 2016 editorial, “Mr. Obama’s Dubious Detention Centers.”
Meanwhile, David Hogg and the rest of the peanut gallery are calling for boycotts for people who dare say what's going on at the border isn't Nazi atrocities.

So he's now an immigration activist in addition to gun control? Hogg's run for city council must be in jeopardy.

He's an American with the same rights as you. At least for now anyway.
The leftist sounding board still has no idea how to play the long game. Trump set them up yet again... but hey, they might win a meaningless news cycle (I don't even know if that will happen).

I'm not questioning his rights, I'm calling out his intentions as less than genuine.

I think it has more to do with Laura Ingraham saying that kids crying and not wanting to be separated from their parents are "child actors".

Regardless of what the parents do in crossing the border, and what their reasoning is, it's immoral to separate kids into detention facilities like that. That's a viewpoint that all but the extreme right have.

The law is immoral, but moreso than that, the Trump policy to enforce it without exception is the main issue. Selective enforcement has been the method going back several presidencies. To end it, he says that all Congress has to do is approve comprehensive immigration reform, as if that's not been debated for decades.

Selective enforcement is what has caused this problem.
