Been to the white house more than once and met more than one president. Not particularly impressed by either. Whether I'd go or not would depend on what else I had going that day. If I had a tee time at Augusta National, no president would be worth meeting.

It was to me when he attended the Western vs Mississippi Valley State in the first4 games in Dayton. I hold the office of President of the United States in high regards no matter who it is. Hell even knowing he was pulling for Mississippi Valley State team didn't bother me. Being able to shake the hand of My President is a honor. Even if I did not agree with most of the things he ended up doing.

This is the second time he's pulled the "Nobody's coming? Well you aren't invited anyway" card. That's like saying "You didn't pick me in basketball, I didn't want to play anyway." He did this a few years back when he didn't win the bid for the Bills. Basically said he never wanted a team in the first place. His atttempts to get into the league before that tell another story.

That's lame in elementary school and it's lame today.

Trump with the strip sack, fumble recovery, and scoop n' score to beat the Eagles.

That division was there during the season. I doubt it has that much of an impact now. Not enough players are against the ones didn't want to go. If anything, the thought of a repeat superbowl appearance will bring them together.

He said what he said and he should've known this would be the result. I don't fault him if he did it knowingly, he was looking for bad guys for his base (after a bad PR-time with Charlottesville) and found it in the NFL players. That's just strategy and he needed to do it quickly. It worked.

But if making enemies out of the NFL players wasn't his plan, it ticks off another box that makes me question his self-awareness.

I'm pretty sure the Philadelphia Eagles didn't just decide to refuse a visit to a nice, old man that hasn't pulled up a quarrel with them.
