Gowdy was talking about a specific part (the inserted spy) of the FBI's investigation of Russian meddling in the election.

Anyone who knows anything about what Gowdy has said about the FBI over the last year or more knows he does not believe "they've done everything right", from Comey's decision to not give candidate Trump a defensive briefing to the FBI's slow-walking of documents demanded by congressional investigators conducting oversight.

Here's exactly what Gowdy said:

When Trump speaks of shutting down the investigation, he's talking about the investigation into his campaign. If the FBI would like to investigate what Russia did, that's fine... HOWEVER, it's not their jurisdiction to do so now is it?

Most geniuses have a tough time with reading comprehension.

Reading this brings up Gowdy's view of justice. Doesn't matter the party just get the truth. Also he stated once Trump sees the info he'd agree.

Trump was furious with Comey that he'd admit to him in private that Trump was not the target of the investigation but refused to say the same in public while the MSM narrative was that Trump was the target and selected leaks from the FBI supported that narrative.

Gowdy, as a special prosecutor, has long admired the work of the FBI but has expressed plenty of frustration with the FBI's leadership for their delaying tactics in producing documents for congressional investigators and for their excessive redactions of those documents they did produce.

His latest comments pretty-well cover his ass with both Trump and the FBI. I wonder if there's something up there.

Its a preliminary statement on some of the IG report coming out. Basically saying the rank and file did what they should have done based upon what they were told. It was the Obama whitehouse/FBI/DOJ leadership that was corrupt.

From what I've read, the rank and file thought the Cankle Server investigation finding was nothing but a set up by Comey.

Its hard to take articles seriously that editorializes and lies. Why do they keep saying there is "no evidence" when the FBI's own documents claim inside sources? Not much of a defense for the old tired "no evidence" line---especially while pushing a Russia Russia Russia narrative that LITERALLY has no evidence to support it.
