RE: Update - Former UNCW coaches and players
Again. Hindsight makes it easy to call the out of bounds play a "mistake" because it didn't work out. But, he did have a play called for the guy inbounding the ball to get it back and take the three. Pass was deflected. One reason coaches use guards or small players is they are quicker and generally make better passes than big guys. You personally may not agree, but it doesn't mean every coach and observer thinks it's a bad strategy.
And, as far as the TO called. Enough. The guy said he panicked even though he knew they didn't have a TO. Is that good enough for you, or will you insist he was paid off to make that statement to protect Keatts? It is as most who aren't members of the HeManKeattsHatersClub thought.

I'm just waiting for you to one time acknowledge our former coach did something wrong. I've acknowledged PLENTY of times he's a good coach overall. In 2 of the last 3 games, they lost to Trash ACC teams. Having your team ready to play(which they weren't in either), falls 100% on the coach.

I criticized him a lot when he coached at UNCW and I closely followed the games and the players. I don't watch every game and know every detail like I did when he was at UNCW, so I have no idea about each detail of a mistake. I do know the overall results he has produced at NCSU this year, and that's all I can go on and that's all I care about. I know of him and follow him as a former UNCW coach and I am happy when he does well because of it. I am no more interested in criticizing his mistakes than I am Brownell. Which, if you want to criticize a coach, Brownell hasn't exactly torn it up in the ACC. A lot of people thought he coould have been fired last year.
I root for both of them to win just like I will when Clemson plays UVA tonight. Otherwise, I wouldn't care who wins. I can't help it you have some personal problem with Keatts, I don't. So, you criticize away if it makes you feel good.

I posted after 1 win which put them over .500 in the ACC and had them pretty much in the top 5 in the ACC. The rest was the HeManKeattsHatingClub in full force. In fact, SN08 started the post about NCSU and Clemson. As usual, your facts are wrong.

RE: Update - Former UNCW coaches and players
Keatts is great regular season guy, no doubt. It's when the game slows down and every possession matters is the issue. We saw this first hand. Hawks should have beaten UVa last year but let them back in. If they make a run this year, that's great but if it's a possession game, it gets dicey. And, that's personnel related too. If you have guys that like that environment, it works. The problem is that if you half court game isn't really there on both ends, it hurts you. We've seen this movie. It's a great movie until the end.

RE: Update - Former UNCW coaches and players
Keatts to this point is running the same thing that Louisville runs or did under Pitino. The big difference is the talent level of course and Pitino is/was a very good game coach who makes adjustments on the fly. He does not play much zone and never has but his teams are prepared and ready to play. He also has had some incredible guys work for him. Scouting reports are also big on his list and it has been fun to watch his teams. Keatts has time to learn and develop as a head coach and the BC game is a classic learning opportunity.

You know that not having the ability to look at things objectively could certainly be considered posting with lack of facts? All my posts are fact based just because you don’t like them are too blind to see them doesn’t make them any less fact

So, our former coach on Coleman and Fitzsimmons late night national ESPN: Coach, how many guys on your team have been in the NCAA tournament before? " Well I'VE BEEN TO THE TOURNAMENT THE LAST 3 YEARS" Doesn't sound like he's self serving at all to me. SMH

actually he had 4 players that had, including Freeman who went 3 years in a row At Baylor. They asked a question about players, he immediately boasted about himself.
