#11 ASU goes down. Now #s 8, 10, 11,and 13 have lost this week. Beat S Fla and UC could be Top 10 next week.

I'm not sure if a lone win against a 300 RPI team is enough to vault us into the top 10, but we will probably move up a spot or 2 just for holding serve.

More than half of the conference teams have <100 RPIs. If you throw Tulsa in there that makes 8 of 12. 5 are hovering at or below top 50.
Yeah, I got a little lazy last night and I typically check against Live RPI. Those numbers above were from CBS Sports - they had not adjusted yet. Here are updated numbers as of this morning:
WSU (4-0) 14-2 18/ 9
Cincinnati (3-0) 14-2 37/ 8
Houston (3-1) 13-3 51/ 35
UCF (3-2) 12-5 56/ 72

If we can handle our business in Florida(USF and UCF), I'd say we're taking the next three games no question. At that point, I think we're going to be in the top 10.

That UCF (w/BJ Taylor), @SMU (Moody Magic), @Houston (we always play wonky games down there) stretch will be extremely tough right before WSU. We could either be in a potential Top 5 matchup with Wichita State on the 18th, or be borderline top 25 very realistically.

Very true of that three game stretch. I'd like to believe this Bearcat team is getting better as the season progresses and winning two is a strong possibility and a sweep is not out of the question. Not losing until WSU would really keep a bright spotlight on that game.

I'll just be glad for UC to be playing again tomorrow. The schedule has been odd up to this point. After this there should be no more than 3-4 days between games.

If we can play that way vs UCF we should do really well. With two bigs who can step out and shoot I think we match up great with them. We will win by double digits if we get the score in the mid 60s

Not even close. The Big Ten is at best a four or five bid league and that might be generous. Same with the PAC-12. Those are leagues ranked 5 and 6 in most models. The American is 7th and still likely a three to five bid league. Teams that finish 3 through 6 are going to win 13 to 10 league games. I can almost tell you that Houston is going to win at least 12 conference games and have a top 45 RPI and Kenpom ranking. Temple only needs 10 league wins to be on the right side of the bubble this based on their quality wins. If SMU, UCF, or UConn finish in the top six they are likely still in the mix for an NCAA tournament bid as well.
I was exagerating of course about the big and the acc, but i stick to my guns on the aac. 2 bids uc and wsu. Houston will be a bubble team and will get left out. They are choke artists.

I don't rub shoulders with a ton of tOSU fans on a daily basis, but most of the ones I do that reside in this area are just t-shirt football fans. Do the Columbus area ones give a sh*t about basketball, or are the same as the SW OH fans.
Surprisingly good. Watched them play last night and to look at them they don’t look like much- bunch of lumpy non-athletic looking dudes. But they can shoot the ******* lights out- especially that Bates-Diop kid. He is nails.

Tuned in to the end of UCONN vs. UCF and Fall wasn't even on the floor the whole time I watched. I like your strategy in that game--push the pace. Fall appears to get gassed pretty quickly going up and down the floor and the more he's on the bench the better it should be for Clark and Washington inside. He was a big problem for UC last time in Orlando as I recall. He's kind of the x factor in next week's game in my mind. UCF should not be a loss if UC takes care of the ball and consistently makes jump shots.

Didn’t we have that sweet alley-oop at the end to win or tie from Caupain to Scott and he bricked it? Played like total **** that game and still had a chance to win at the end.

Forgot about that one. Yes, I can't remember if that was to win or to tie.

Fall has little stamina. Push it up fast and he has little effect. He cannot play more than 5 minutes at a time.

Temple's season just officially went ka-put. Thanks for playing.
Tulane is officially playing for a bid to the CBI.
The AAC mid-pack of pretenders is getting smaller.

Nu-uh, they still got those OOC wins!
Anyone who goes down to them is enduring a good loss.
[/sarcasm]
Like I said before, they're bad. The whole bottom half of the conference not named "Cincinnati" or "Wichita State" is pretty much just rubbish. Houston may end up being okay, but when we have to put our hopes in Houston winning at basketball, I think it's time to show a little concern.
