The University of Cincinnati marketing department has announced its 2018 baseball promotions schedule. Fans are encouraged to take advantage of these great promotions as the Bearcats compete at Marge Schott Stadium, including home contests against Tennessee, Kansas, and Ohio State plus regional rivals Xavier, Miami University, Wright State and Toledo.
"We know fans are looking to get the most bang for their buck," said Assistant Athletics Director for Marketing Luke Willman. "You don't have to go far to find a place for your entire family to have fun. Bearcats Baseball has a great home schedule with giveaways and promotions all season long."
PROMOTIONAL SCHEDULE HIGHLIGHTS
The promotional schedule kicks off when the Bearcats host the University of Tennessee for a three-game weekend series starting Friday, March 8 at 4 p.m. To celebrate the start of Daylight Savings Time, UC Athletics has partnered with Fort Thomas Jewelers to present a Spring Forward Watch Drawing. All weekend long, fans can enter to win a men's or women's Bearcats watch presented by Fort Thomas Jewelers valued at $100 apiece. Each fan in admission to the games can enter to win once per game with watch winners announced during the series finale.
During the weekend series against Toledo, the Bearcats will have a retro logo coaster giveaway and celebrate St. Patrick's Day with a Bearcats mug giveaway. By wearing green, fans can save two dollars off the price of admission.
On Tuesday, March 20, the Bearcats face Miami University. UC Athletics is partnering with the Residence Hall Association for Res Hall night. The hall with the highest percentage of attendance will win every resident of that hall at the game a free Under Armour Ruckus t-shirt.
The weekend series against Houston features a mini-helmet giveaway presented by John Morrell and a water bottle giveaway. We will also celebrate National Girls and Women in Sports Day all across our varsity village on March 31. To register for this year's event which includes a women-in-sports panel, pre-game activities or campus tour, lunch (free for the first 200 registrants), and complimentary admission to four home events for registrants and their families, click here.
On Tuesday, April 3, the Bearcats host Wright State and will partner with the Student Alumni Council for its annual Student Org Night and Pennant Day contest. The first 500 fans will receive a Bearcats pennant courtesy of John Morrell.
As the Bearcats host Memphis during the first weekend in April, fans can participate in Social Media Night on Friday, Signature Saturday, and Sunday's Rally Towel Giveaway presented by John Morrell.
Bearcats student-athletes will be on hand for OneTeam Night in our home game against Xavier on Wednesday, April 18. Fans can enjoy $2 beer at the concession stand during this rivalry night.
When the Bearcats host UConn, there are two t-shirt giveaways over the course of the weekend for students and general fans. Bark in the Park returns to Marge Schott Stadium with a dog collar and dog leash giveaway for our four-legged fans on Saturday, April 21. Fans can also enjoy dollar hot dogs at the concession stand during Bark in the Park.
The Bearcats host Kansas during the last weekend in April. UC Athletics is partnering with Roto-Rooter to give away mini bats on Saturday, April 28. The weekend series also features a concession special to celebrate National Pretzel Day and another retro logo coaster giveaway.
As the Bearcats host Ohio State for a mid-week game, students from throughout the tri-state will be on hand in our Education Day series. School teachers and administrators can register for the free Fastballs and Fitness event by clicking here.
UC baseball closes out the regular season against USF. The weekend is highlighted by Senior Day and Ian Happ Day on Saturday, May 19. In addition to honoring the 2018 senior class during pregame, Cincinnati alumni Happ, who now plays for the Chicago Cubs, will be on hand for the game. Fans will receive a free Happ poster upon entry and can register to win a Happ bobblehead with drawings throughout the game.
