Another question: Has it changed in Chicago? Nope.

Quote: Chicago's homicide total drops by over 100, but violence still 'intolerably high' http://www.chicagotribune.com/news/local...story.html
After the deadliest year in two decades, the first half of 2017 seemed just as grim in Chicago as homicides remained devastatingly high, raising fears that the “spike” in violence had become a new normal for the city.

Then in the second half of the year, homicides plummeted, particularly in two of the city’s most violence-plagued neighborhoods, contributing to about a 15 percent overall drop in killings over last year.

It astonishing how fast democrats destroy a city. If you laid out a plan and had fundung to ruin a place intentionally you could not more efficiently.

~12 yrs. ago, I did the Hooters on the harbor.....was served by a hotty toddy named Shadonkey......no bull****....as she bent over in full cleavage, I had to ask, "Shadonkey, can I be your honky"...

we couldn't get thru the toll booth fast enough.....

it's amazing I haven't been shot by now.....
Shadonkey? Come on man. Lol

kid you not.....gold name tag and all that comes with it....I'm not that good in fiction....

Pronounced shay-dawn-kay no doubt.

Outlier? You might want to wait until the next set of stats are released before proclaiming victory.

Inner-city Baltimore is a cesspool of drugs, prostitution, food-stamp fraud, welfare queens, children who have never seen their fathers, and deadbeat dads with no intent nor means to take care of their responsibilities. I am sure there are isolated feel-good stories of personal achievement, but these are very rare. This is what happens when you sell your liberty to the plantation, because the plantation promises free things with minimal accountability. You lose your soul. These fools and their leaders are getting exactly for what they asked. I have no pity.

Same here, except I do have pity. And some anger and disappointment that republicans can't seem to come up with anything better than what is clearly an awful situation. LBJ said about the civil rights bill that, "If we pass this we will have this n*****s voting for us for generations," and that has become the democrat welfare plantation mentality. Keep 'em dumb, keep 'em poor, keep 'em dependent on handouts, and you keep 'em voting democrat. And republicans can't come up with anything better than that? The party of Lincoln has to have a better idea than the welfare plantation.

I live in Baltimore. It's not that bad. Crime is highly localized and is often very personal. Most of it is kids getting caught in the game and having it backfire.

Quote:lack of policing

Well give the Black Lives Matter movement what the want, and THIS is the thanks they give. I heard someone say last night

Quote:it's the police's job to be more involved in the community

NO!!! It's the police's job to maintain law and order, they are not babysitters or community organizers. I do think officers should be assigned to a certain area of town and work there for regularly like the NYC Precinct system.

Police shouldn't have to hold bake sales or run daycare centers as part of their job. I don't know of any other government job where people say workers should be involved in the community as part of the job.
