Mueller Subpoenas Trump Deutsche Bank Records
https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/...ient-trump

Quote:Deutsche Bank for months has rebuffed calls by Democratic lawmakers to provide more transparency over the roughly $300 million Trump owed to the bank for his real estate dealings prior to becoming president. Representative Maxine Waters of California and other Democrats have asked whether the bank’s loans to Trump, made years before he ran for president, were in any way connected to Russia. The bank previously rejected those demands, saying sharing client data would be illegal unless it received a formal request to do so. Trump has denied any wrongdoing.

Calls and emails to the White House weren’t immediately returned before U.S. office hours. Handelsblatt reported the subpoena earlier Tuesday.

What is Mueller's goal regarding this information? What do business dealings years before Trump runs for office have to do with Russian collusion? You would have to assume that either 1) Trump is compromised because he's protecting assets he owns in Russia or 2) Trump is compromised because he's done some nasty stuff in Russia and is being blackmailed if Mueller still believes in the Steele dossier and this is a "connect the dots" exercise.

Any other theories would be more outlandish - like Russia was grooming Trump for being their Manchurian candidate for years. IMHO, this action is most likely linked to the FBI's working hypothesis that the Steele Dossier is legit.

RE: Mueller Subpoenas Trump Deutsche Bank Records
It's possibly related to the theory that Russian oligarchs have been using Trump properties to launder money over the past decade. That would provide leverage that could be applied by Putin if need be.

Either way, for an accurate look at someone's financials in a case like this, I'd imagine you need more than a snapshot.

I'd be more inclined to entertain that theory if we were talking about inflows of cash into Trump accounts at Deutsche Bank. Maybe there's something to the theory you post; however, how would it fit with the story that Mueller is interested in Trump leveraging his properties to secure loans from the bank?

My theory is that this is a get-Trump-out-office-using-whatever-it-takes kinda deal because we couldn't beat him at the ballot box.

Not sure, but we'll see. We always knew this investigation would involve his finances.

What happened to collusion with the Russians to get himself elected?

Didn't Germany spy on candidate Trump's team for the Obama Administration? Didn't they share info with the CIA? I can't remember.

Does a foreign bank have to comply with a US subpoena? I know the US can make business difficult for a foreign bank in the US if it doesn't. [/align]

What a mess.

If Mueller finds something on Trump and it sticks then we have a constitutional crisis.
If they find nothing on Trump then the FBI and Special Counsels are forever tarnished.

That and the house of cards surrounding Buellers series of BFF’s in #’s2,3,4 spots at FBI under him and Comey smells to high heaven.

The swamp is circling the wagons around their own, yet again.

Not entirely surprising to see, seems this is going to pretty quickly degenerate into a battle royale between a Trump DOJ and this so-called Independent counsel. Which very clearly it’s not.

I realize that as I can see their logo from where I sit here. I'm saying the Russian banking sector has a small number of players in which DB is a major part of it.

DB is a major player in the Russian banking scene though.

They are a global bank. They have locations in who knows how many countries.

I realize that as I can see their logo from where I sit here. I'm saying the Russian banking sector has a small number of players in which DB is a major part of it.
According to the Central Bank of Russia, a number of banks have been very good in their operations. They have had a sustained growth, becoming leaders in the financial sector. Today we bring to you the top 10 largest banks in Russia, which the central bank has referred to as “systemic institutions.”
Sberbank
Sberbank is the largest bank in Russia. The largest shareholder is the Central bank of Russia with 50% of its authorized capital. The remaining shares are held by domestic and foreign investors. Since 1996, Sberbank’s shares have been publicly traded in Russia and have been admitted to trade over the counter in the United States. Additionally, they are listed in the Frankfurt stock exchange.
VTB Bank
VTB is the second largest bank in Russia with the government owning 60% of the shares. Its shares are among the most liquid in the entire Federation. They are publicly traded both in Russia and London stock Exchange.
Gazprombank
The bank has an extensive network across the Russian Federation. It has over 500 offices delivering quality and customer friendly services to clients. In both 2001 and 2005, the Banker magazine declared Gazprombank the bank of the year.
Alfa Bank
Alfa Bank was founded in 1990. Today, it is among the leading private banks. Alfa Bank is actively involved in corporate banking, investment banking, retail banking, interbank SME, leasing, structured finance and retail lending.
PromSvyazBank
Founded in 1995, PromSvyazBank is currently one of the largest privately owned banks in Russia. Unlike some other banks where the government has a significant share, this bank is entirely owned by private individuals. In terms of capital, it ranks among the top 500 worldwide.
Otkritie Financial Corporation Bank
Established in 1993, Otkritie Financial Corporation Bank is privately owned. It is part of Otkritie FC Banking group comprising of the corporation bank and Khanty Mansiysk Otkritie Bank. The group is ranked first among private banks in Russia.
Russian Agricultural Bank
Russian Agricultural Bank, popularly known as RusAg, is wholly owned by the Government of Russia. It is regulated by the Central Bank of Russia. One of its key areas of focus is the provision of credit to agribusinesses. Today, the bank operates 77 branches and 1,300 offices across the Federation. RusAg has the second largest number of branches in the country. As a result, it is able to reach the clients for the purpose of marketing as well as offering them services.
UniCredit Bank

Yeah, you're not going to find them on a list of 2017 because they stopped doing business in Russia since they were fined record amounts for facilitating billions of dollars of Russian money to be moved offshore illegally. You've now made three posts on this subject which have shown you grasp nothing about the recent history of DB. Why not do some reading instead of throwing sh*t at the wall?
