There is no reason for playing this game on the first weekend of December at noon. With the college football conference championship games this weekend and Bengals-Steelers on MNF the Crosstown Shootout is lost again in the shuffle. The NCAA tournament is three months away, nobody is going to talking about this game three months from now outside of the selection committee. Both schools needs to get together and make sure the Crosstown Shootout isn't played in early December every again. At this point for UC it is just the start of a big four game run that will define how we look at the rest of the season.

Mic has tried to downplay this game for years. Wouldn't be surprised to find he prefers it this way.
