I think I'll go with Memphis bc SMU's D Coordinator called a hell of a game, Memphis's D is more inconsistant

You're right, USF matches up terribly against UCF. That explains why you guys own the series against us and beat the hell out of us less than 12 months ago. I hope your players are convinced of this and keep reading their press and the confident posts of their fans.

'rivalry games' are far more unpredictable

UCF and Memphis appear to be the two best teams in the American. It should be a good conference championship game that highlights the excellent brand of football played in the AAC this year. Kudos to both teams and their excellent coaches.

If they can both win out, the AAC championship game will likely feature a top 10 team vs a top 15. That would be huge for the conference perception. The more years we feature that type of matchup, the more it will be cemented that the AAC should have multiple top 15 teams.

Thanks, but it won't be good if it ends up 40-13 again. We need to figure out how to be competitive next time, assuming we get that chance.

I'd prefer Houston because I root for Houston.

If it ends up being SMU v USf it's gonna be a crow buffet

There's just one main scenario that I know of:

1. Memphis has to lose all of their remaining games

2. Houston has to win all of their remaining games.

3. SMU has to lose to either Navy or Tulane, but must beat Memphis.

Why does SMU have to lose? We beat them head to head.

You're right, I thought there was another way, but it's gone for Houston.

1. Memphis loses to SMU and beats ECU.

2. SMU and UH both win out.

We would all tie at 6-2, with 1-1 records, head to head.

Next tiebreaker would be record within the division. Memphis would be 4-1, SMU would be 4-1, UH would be 3-2, so UH is out.

Then I'm not sure if the tiebreaker reverts to head to head, or if it goes on to the highest ranked in the CFP. If it reverts, SMU wins. If it goes on to ranking, Memphis would likely win.

But either way, UH would be eliminated before we got there.

Easy way to solve this is for Memphis to beat SMU, lol.

Other way is for SMU to lose to Navy, and Memphis just beat ECU. Then it won't matter who wins the Memphis-SMU game. Memphis would still win the division.
