Obvious we suck and won't win 10 games. ;-)

It is uglier than the score indicates.

It's obvious that losing Norton wasn't all of the problem last year. He's back, but we are still struggling.

Good student group though. They are not exactly enthused about being here. But the Gardendale High School band is, and they are doing a great job. We need to recruit them for the whole season.

On a more positive note, Scootie is the real deal, and Perry is going to help us a bunch too.

We just hit a few buckets, and are up 51-45 with 14:23 left.

Same things that plagued us last year are still an issue.

Mostly defensive issues (from someone that just watched stats scroll by)?

JessT is raising those children the right way.

Defensive issues, and a tendency to stagnate on offense. Cokley played well, I thought. Lee never really got going. Hopefully he’ll find some fire as this season gets ramped up. I think we have a lot more three point shooting potential, so that may help a bit.

You can never put too much stock in an exhibition game.

Pass the ball to the guy in the gold jersey. Do not pass the ball to the guy in the maroon jersey. If the guy in the maroon jersey is running up behind the guy in the gold jersey to cut off the passing lane, do not pass the ball.

When a shot is missed and the ball falls toward the floor, grab it in both hands. This is known as a "rebound" and is a good thing.

RE: Three Things To Watch For At Morehouse Exhibition
Our issues on offense are mostly attributable to the fact we are among the worst teams at executing screens in college basketball. We don’t setup picks correctly, we don’t set them correctly, and we don’t execute them correctly. On ball or off ball. I haven’t been to any practices this year , but in the ones I went to last year the coaches were not teaching it. It drove me crazy that even in practice the coaching staff wasn’t correcting what was and remains fundamentally unsound basketball.

RE: Three Things To Watch For At Morehouse Exhibition
Game was a bit ugly for us but a win. Our O wasn't very sharp only the 2nd half 3's when we got hot helped us most. Morehouse seemed to execute their sets much better than we did which kept the game close. We have some talent in a few players more than last year I'd say but we just didn't play well until late. I think everyone who played scored except those when he cleared the bench in the last 1 minute. Will this be a team that plays to the level of the competition or was this just an off game, only time will tell.

What margin of victory would have been enough to satisfy?
